As Stronbow pointed out, Alaska will not be a place to head to if civilization is interrupted. The carrying capacity of the land here is very limited and gets worse as you head north. Southcentral ALaska does not the enough game to support the present population, the growing season is short, and what will grow is limited. Southeast is a better bet, you’ll want to live by the ocean and be prepared to eat a lot of seafood and kelp.
Keep in mind that while the Inuits were scraping by, eating sled dogs and leaving their firstborn children on the ice, the SE AK folks, Tglinkit/Haida/Tsimian were creating art and culture.
