We’ll see, won’t we.

Yeah, we'll see. Meanwhile, AIP membership will graduate from a 5"x7" cell to a public phone booth.

Don’t forget, it wasn’t long ago Republicans were calling RomneyCare “freemarket reform.” Its genesis was at Heritage.

Which Republicans? Palin never supported it.

Can you point me to where she advocates gradually phasing out those programs?

Re-read the 4th paragraph. No politician is going to abolish SS/Medicare/Medicaid outright. I don't have a problem protecting it for existing seniors, retirees, and patients while phasing them out for younger people. This is what Sarah means when she says humanely. The rest of healthcare would be turned over to the market.

The 4th paragraph doesn’t back up your claim.

On a slightly different note, don’t you wish folks would stand up and say “it’s not constitutional,” rather than just “we can’t afford it”?

It’s hard for me to believe that the very folks who expanded Medicare greatly with the Part D prescription drug benefit are going to “gradually” phase out the entire Medicare program, much less get rid of Medicaid. Remember, most of the new GOP House leadership supported this trillion dollar tax on our posterity: folks like Boehner, and Cantor, and Ryan...and even such conservative favorites as Steve King of Iowa and Trent Franks of Arizona.
