(You must have caught too many hockey sticks to the head. WE do not control the Congress, only the House. WE do not sign the bills into law, Obama does. Even if we controlled both Congress and the Presidency the things you demand would take time and most would be impossible to do.)

Prepare the necessary bills and send them to the big “O”s desk. If he vetoes them , re-vote the same bills and send to his desk again and again and again.

Between now and Jan 20, 2013 one of two things will happen.
Obama will sign the bills or he will be replaced. Don't be mind-numbed into not acting Mind-numbed Robot

It's pretty easy to see why the Liberals and their media lapdogs are scared sh!tless of Sarah.

It is crucial we don't let them pick our Presidential candidate once again, as they did in 2008.

I am in agreement with you. Perhaps you read too much into my comment.

This is what we MUST do, short term:
1. Renew the Bush tax cuts for EVERYBODY.

That is doable and following your recommendation if necessary but we will have a tough fight against the media, the Democrats in the Senate and President Obama. Certainly not a sure thing.
2. Cut spending in HALF (except DoD) by eliminating Depts of Education, Energy and HHS, plus EPA. Then CUT legislators pay in half and staffs in half.
What chance do you think any of those have, even doing it your way?
Then CUT the Pentagon down to size.
I don't know what is meant by that.
3. Eliminate foreign aid.
Some aid can be eliminated with enough public outcry but not all of it. Some of it is necessary to our security.
4. No automatic raises for legislators.
That could probably be done but no automatically and not easily.

Since number 2 has multiple improbable, if not impossible, tasks I would say my statement is correct. MUST be done immediately is out of the question.

The Repubs must stay the course and, yes, they must use precious political capital to define themselves from Democrats and remind the Dems of why they were sent there.

Other than from us who sent them they don't have any other political capital. Maybe I am overlooking something.

I want them to fight like determined warriors against all that has been going on in Washington. Issa says he will be doing a lot of investigations. I say the more the better.

My big disappointment with Bush was his failure to investigate anything with such a target rich environment. He simply took the criticism and ignored what went before him. In his effort to set a new tone he was amazingly naive about the nature of the enemy - the Democrats, media, and George Soros' organizations. He could have done a lot of forestall much of what happened but he didn't. Oh well.

The last thing our small businesses need is tax hikes. It falls to the current Democrat-controlled Congress to decide on the future of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts. If it does not permanently renew all of them, you should move quickly to do so in the new Congress. It would remove from households and businesses the threat of a possible $3.8 trillion tax hike hitting all Americans at the worst possible moment, with our economy struggling to recover from a deep recession!

This is critical. The Democrats will not do anything in the lame duck session about these impending tax hikes. The incoming House will have to tackle this very quickly.

The problem will be not in the House, but in getting the Democrat-controlled Senate and executive to do anything.

The Democrats want these tax hikes badly, no matter how great the economic folly of big tax hikes in an economic downturn.

Palin: In all this, you should extend a hand to President Obama and Democrats in Congress. After this election, they may finally be prepared to work with Republicans on some of these issues for the good of the country.

Funny, didn't half of FR pile on Mitch McConnell for making this exact same suggestion?

My head is on perfectly fine, thank you. The problem with setting expectations low is you always fail to meet your own expectations. You have to aspire to do great things, before you can be great. Conservatives MUST be great men and women.

Conservatives may not control the government(yet), but we do control the purse. If we can control the purse, we can do more than you think.
