Over the weekend there were stories floating around, quoting anonymous sources (of course), that former President George W. Bush was telling "friends" that Governor Palin isn't qualified to be President. Stacy addressed this in a post on Sunday. As she explained, the rumors are inconsistent with President Bush's past remarks on Governor Palin. They're also inconsistent with his steadfast refusal to criticize any potential 2012 contenders or even President Obama. He's made it clear time and again that he feels it's inappropriate for a former president to do so.
Today, President Bush responded to these stories during an interview with Rush Limbaugh. The relevant remarks:

(2) I don't know how to post a video clip on FR.
Here’s how to post the video:

I don’t start threads much myself, but when I do, I always post an excerpt, just to be safe. But then, I don’t blog pimp.
I didn't believe the shispering for a moment!
Bush wouldn’t lie about that either.
Bush also denied saying that Palin was not qualified on Rush today, but he added that he does not know where it came from or who “may be running for president”. So based on his statement, he believes it was put out by someone in a political move to discredit Palin.
“He’s made it clear time and again that he feels it’s inappropriate for a former president to do so. “
AND HE’S RIGHT.
It's appreciated. Legitimate sources require excerpts.
Blogs don't.
Whatsamatter, HG? Clicker finger broken?
Mitt comes to mind along with many other left wing folks.
Why fall for a lame-ass scam to get blog hits?
The full content could be posted here. Ask yourself why it isn't.
Don't fall for the scam. Don't support blogpimps who USE FR as an advertising platform.
RUSH: I want to give you a chance to comment on something. There are stories going around that do not quote you -- that quote "associates" or "friends" -- saying that you are telling them that Sarah Palin was a bad choice by Senator McCain to be vice president --
PRESIDENT BUSH: Yeah.
RUSH: -- and that she --
PRESIDENT BUSH: I have never said that, of course, nor have I read about it. You know, I'm not gonna comment on anybody who might be running for president. But that's what happens in today's world, the blogosphere. You know, people get to hide behind some codename or something. They toss out a gossip or rumor and it floats around the Internet. I never said that, never would have said that.
C4P is not a blog. It’s an independent news and information source about Governor Palin.
I know how to post the link. I was under the impression you wanted the video itself (that displays the actual video) included with the full posting of the article.

I have never understood some people's obsession with so-called 'blog-pimping'. One of the great services that FR performs is to consolidate news, blogs, silliness, etc. If I see the first part of some blog post and it intrigues me, I'll click through. If it doesn't intrigue me, I'll pass it by. No need to bog down the FR servers with all the extra verbiage by posting more than the excerpt.
The world needs more bloggers. Readers can sort out the wheat from the chaff themselves.
Further, to accuse Extremely Extreme Extremist of blog-pimping you must assume that EEE has some connection to C4P. Perhaps that is true, but I seriously doubt you know that one way or the other. And even if it his, please explain exactly what is the harm.
Perhaps you just don't want to show up on someone else's website a see a barrage of advertising. While I admit that can sometimes be annoying, the Net still exists in a free-enterprise environment, at least until the Obamanoids, socialists (who also hate advertising) decide to take it away.
For the record. I don't have a blog. But I am thinking about it. And you can be darn sure I will want to share it with FR. And if I do it will be by posting under the blogs category, exactly the way that EEE posted this one.
There IS a "Citizens For Palin" site.
What you have linked isn't it. It's a stinking blog using a popular name.
It's a blog.
Hosted by Blogspot.
You have been punked by a blogpimp.
For what? Stories about Japan being eaten by giant squids?
There is NO accountability. These idiots can "write" anything.
You give it credibility because it's a blog?
Don't be a sucker. Don't provide blog hits.
It's a scam.
I don’t give something credibility simply because it is a blog any more than I give it credibility because it came from the Washington Post, or Fox News. I have a brain. I can read. I can make up my own mind.
If we assume that every blog link posted on FR is a scam, we would miss out on some very serious and relevant thinkers.
Besides, I kind of like stories about Japan being eaten by giant squids. ;-)
