It’s hilarious to see Shields mentioning Chappaquiddick in this context, since it never seemed to bother him when Teddy was alive. Having said that, in the limited and goofy way he’s using it, he’s absolutely right. Agree or not, Palin quitting makes her a non-starter for many people for what it implies about her. Not saying I feel that way—I’m not sure— I didn't lie about your position, your Palin nonsense is tiresome and your constant O'Donnell attacks were over the top.
