His past will not allow him to run... the vetting process would destroy him.

The only way our economy will ever recover is by bringing back the outsourced jobs. Corporations should be taxed according to where value-added takes place. If value is added to their goods in China, corporations should pay a high tax. If value is added to their goods in the U.S., corporations should pay a low tax. The congress should move to eliminate ALL unnecessary business regulations and make tort reform a high priority. One can argue about how best to recover our lost jobs, but one cannot argue that outsourcing has added to the GNP of China, India, Mexico, etc. instead of the U.S.

“What kind of idiot thinks that shipping American jobs overseas in order to hire slaves can result in anything other than us becoming a third world country? By the way, Mr. Globalist, what happened to all those high paying jobs the “new world order economy was going to bring us?

Are you on the right boards here my friend? Who “ships jobs overseas?” The government? No, we chase them away. Why are there no factories here? Because someone “shipped them away”? No, they left because the business climate was too difficult here to make money. Unions, taxes, environmental concerns, pay offs to politicians, protesters telling them plastics are bad, the NIMBY crowd who sues a factory that was there BEFORE they moved in, and now they want it gone, plus you can’t build a factory anywhere, folks don’t want to see smokestacks, they want to see spotted owls and frogs.

No one wants to “ship jobs overseas”, but American companies do what they can to stay in business. Should the American companies just fold up and close down because some asshat like you thinks they shouldn’t be competitive? No, they should adapt, and sometimes adapting means getting out of a hostile environment. America is a hostile environment to business. America at large does not want business here. Oh, they want the money, but just not the factories. Just not the stuff that goes with the factories, like you know, trucks on the road, and pollution, and chain link fences, and smokestacks. No, folks want factories to operate in Hobbit Holes with flowers around them like New Zealand or some such fantasy land, where union workers make $5,000 dollars an hour, and retire at the age of 40, with full benefits for life, and the rest of the world is supposed to buy our widgets for $1,000 bucks each to support that cause, while in China they are making the same widget for $20 bucks?

And as to the earlier post about child-labor, guess what, as a business owner I can tell you, that labor costs are not the biggest impact on my bottom line. Legal costs, health insurance, taxes and regulations, and all sorts of inane government do-good ideas are what stifles my hiring. Telling me who I can hire, who I can fire, what I must pay them, what bennies I must provide, etc. Remember, when regulations cost me x amount, that x amount comes out of the pot, and that pot is used to pay my employees. So, blame your gub’mint for not giving you a high paying job, I guess, because they have taken too much from the X pot, and there aint enough cheese to go around anymore.

Our “widgets” already cost too much, and I can’t get that profit from the ass of a unicorn, it has to come from the end consumer, and the end consumer just can’t afford it anymore.

And further, I AM A CAPITALIST. And GOD BLESS any man who is self sufficient, and goes out and takes a chance, mortgages his life away for a chance at the American Dream, and piss on anyone who tells him he can’t do it, or he must do it while supporting union loafers, or he must do it while supporting gub’mint employees, and every hobo on the street.

I tell folks who work for me, and some of those who don’t, if it so easy to become a rich bastard and take advantage of all those around you, then go ahead and do it. No one is stopping anyone from starting a factory and making widgets. If you want to make a factory, and not ship jobs overseas, then have the guts to do it my friend, because playing armchair quarterback, and letting others decide your fate shows me that you are sheeple, and you will gripe and moan no matter what pasture they put you on, or no matter what hill they lead you up to.

You are NOT guaranteed a job, you are NOT guaranteed free housing, you are NOT guaranteed a pension, but as far as I know, you ARE guaranteed the right to start a business and take matters into your own hands.

I don’t get mad at the bully in the playground. I want to go work out, learn karate and then go kick his ass. What I do get mad at, are the playground teachers that tell me I can’t hit him back, or I must hit him back wearing eco-friendly clothing, and buy a mask to protect myself from blood, then I must hire the EPA to cordon off the area, in case it gets out of hand, then I must file for 15 permits to go kick his ass, oh, and I have to make sure I have the right insurance, oh, and provide insurance for him as well, and then I have to make sure none of the witnesses sue me, because they don’t like violence. But its the bullies fault right? NO, ITS OUR OWN GUB’MINTS FAULT for not letting me go kick his ass!

The best “high paying job” is not the one you are hoping is going to fall into your lap because of protectionism, but the one you MAKE. Grow a sack, and take a risk on your future. I would rather live one day as a lion, than a lifetime as a sheep. But that’s just me. I’m not waiting around for Obama, McCain or anyone else to give me a high paying job.

If one state wants the auto plant there instead of in a different state, then it only makes sense that America would want it here rather than in some other country.

I don’t believe we can have “free trade” with unfree countries, but I don’t think slapping a huge tax on imports is helpful at all to the economy.

If you think taxes are good for the economy, I suppose you’ll be voting Democrat?

Such anger you display. Calm down and read the posts you are screaming at. It is in fact the government that has created the necessity for corporations to exit the U.S. In order to “right” this, we must return to a government that unshackles our corporations and small businesses and gives them an incentive to stay home and “make” things. I think that was Mr. Trumps point and it certainly was mine. I too sir am a small business owner and what has happened in the name of “free trade” is a travesty. By the way, I agree with almost all of your rant!!

“I think that was Mr. Trumps point and it certainly was mine”

Trumps point was to tax the crap out of imports. He is wrong, and it sure did/does sound as if you agree with him.

Further, I would be that most “high paying jobs” that are here, are from foreign investors. Yes, lets create a climate that makes them leave as well. Brilliant!

Mr Trump, you are almost as keen as your hair.

I guess you want to build up China and take a crap on our economy? Look at what is happening to our economy! You can’t have free trade if the playing field is not leveled. There is NO WAY we can compete with labor at $5 an hour. Any future investments get invested outside our nation. It’s a bad deal period!

“Tax imports”

Because of outsourcing foreigners INDEED have our money to buy the U.S. at fire sale prices. Lets just go ahead and move to one world government, no national borders and forget the great experiment called America. Nothing exceptional about us is there?

Yea!Well chasing our manufacturing base out of the country with high taxes and artificially high energy rates does’nt help either.

With your way we all get hurt in a useless trade war.Cut the taxes and these corperations will return home.

So I guess your solution is to continue the madness... I mean course.

We became a great nation long before NAFTA, GATT, Etc...

We can go back. Well that is if you want our nation to produce anything. The only thing we produce these days are web sites.

Hell!I was never for NAFTA or the GATT treaty for that matter but chasing companies out of the U.S. The way Obama’s doing is not doing us any good.

As I said,Cut the price of energy,Capital gains taxes and other fees the Federal Government imposes on us on a daily basis.

The economy will improve tremendously just fronthose action’s alone.

Like I said,

“We became a great nation long before NAFTA, GATT, Etc...”

Right now were losing more than we are a gaining. Oh and the illegal immigrants do not help. They steal a lot of jobs by being paid low wages.

Like I said you cannot have free trade without a level playing field. There is NO WAY we can compete with slave labor. Yeah I said slave labor. You can compete, and that is why we have Tariffs. This was a no brainier a long time ago, but today people have fallen for this bogus lie lock, stock and barrel.

Did you forget what you wrote? Let me quote you,

“ONLY guy in history who ever lost money running a casino?”

Donald Trump is not the “ONLY” guy. You thought I said it never happened. You have to be careful with your words. Nevertheless, Donald does have a lot more money than you. I trust him more than the congress and/or Obama.

Trump has his heart in the right place. The balance of trade (zero trade deficit) is more important than tariffs per se. It would be far easier to gather worldwide support for a balance of trade among the world’s nations than to go it alone. That’s what leadership is for. Few nation’s would oppose balance of trade arrangements. The exceptions would be few, and these would be the nations with the huge trade surpluses. There is no need for the U.S. to move forward alone. It can gather worldwide diplomatic support for balances of trade.
Trump left out the positive impact that reducing the trade deficit has on the federal deficit. It’s one of the easiest an effective arguments. Another sign that he is out of the game.
