Christine O'Donnell tweeted about Delaware Channel 28 forgetting two times to air her 24 minute mega ad. She claimed she was told the station "forgot." Channel 28 executive producer Tim Qualls claims they didn't receive the tape in time to air the ad.
Tim Qualls also said he was a Republican who planned to vote for O'Donnell until the ad controversy.
He said he is a Republican and had planned to vote for O'Donnell, but the tape situation changed his mind. "She's lost my vote," Qualls said.Qualls does his own show on Channel 28 called 'The Tim Qualls Show.' On August 27, 2010, Qualls interviewed Chris Coons. Coons is currently Qualls County Executive. The video is posted on Channel 28's website. This is the most obsequious, fawning, softball interview ever. This interview would make Larry King blush. Some highlights of Qualls comments from the segment are:
Introducing the Coons interview 01:53 (six years) "When he came on and we met the family and fell in love with him..." 01:57 (speaking of Coons) "What a great man..." 04:23 (speaking of Coons) "My good friend..." Interviewing Coons Qualls lets Coons spend several minutes touting his accomplishments while he exclaims, "Holy cow!" 9:41 "You've done such a great job..." 9:48 "I don't feel bad now that you raised my taxes." 11:40 "Now I'm saying, wait a minute, I don't want to vote for you because I don't want you to leave..." 11:52 "It's important we get to Washington with that very same mindset that you are talking about..." 14:03 "I want to say what a fantastic job you did in County government and no matter where we can keep you in office, we need to keep you in office."You decide if Tim Qualls sounds like an...

"Hi, Rush. I've been a lifelong Republican, but this year, I just cannot stomach voting for O'Donnell..."
Let’s see if I have this right,=. She paid for the ad they didnt run it and he won’t vote for her because she is upset that her ad didnt get run.
I suppose that makes sense to someone.
I would sue the shit out of him and Channel 28.
Love the tag line! Great song!
Qualls is a Lying POS
Better yet, when the new Congress is seated next year, have a go at Channel 28’s license. Still, I can't imagine someone like that has much of a following. He sounds like a third rate Kieth Olbermann.
Did her add ever air?
Doesn’t this station broadcast over the air?
Don’t they need a license from the FCC to use the public airways?
Doesn’t this license need to be renewed occasionally?
Doesn’t a deliberate action such as this look bad when renewing an FCC broadcast license?
Can the public not petition for the license not to be renewed?
Is this not a breach of contract for which they can be sued?

No, not over the air, from what I have been able to gather.
Is this ad airing on WBOC?
Coons came off pretty well back then, probably another indicator that the show was at least somewhat rehearsed. Nothing suggesting far left, excerpt perhaps the idea of the county running summer camps for youngsters.
You have to wonder about how tiny an operation Channel 28 is, seeing that Qualls is an on-air personality as well as a management honcho. And, given that, you have to wonder why O'Donnell's people would want to advertise there.
There aren’t that many places to buy a half an hour of time. a half hour of Philly broadcast tv would be very expensive I’d assume. Not to say they shouldn’t have done that, but 28’s a reasonable buy.
It really probably would be best not to think too much about what happened with this ad. It was a good ad, it did get on TV, just declare victory with that.
I think 28 is the community access channel for Comcast..
I’ve been in there and it is a cheap setup and operation.
