J. Geraghty just went race by race for the House and projected 70 seats. If we get 70, I think we get the Senate.

West Virginia will go to Raese.

Yes West Virginia is heavily Democrat. And they’ve had enough of Obama’s run away wild government, too.

If the GOP wins the Senate, Graham, Snowe, Collins, McCain, Cornyn, Hatch, and Grassley will immediately make calls of condolence and promise to support their RAT bothers and sisters to continue the transformation of America into a socialist paradise. They will offer to reach across the aisle on the important issues facing the LEFTIST Radical fringe that wants to destroy our economy, eliminate our individual freedoms, and give away our sovereignty. So much work remains to be done. Some things are so predictable.

FOX fox: One of the most accurate election predictors out there, and Larry Sabato’s final crystal ball has things going this way. On the House side, he sees the GOP gaining 55 seats, they need 39 to take majority control. On the Senate side, he sees Republicans gaining eight seats. Now, that would be shy of the ten needed to take control of the majority over there.

Larry Sabato is our next guest, he’s the director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia, all right, Larry, twenty-four hours to go, relatively, give or take a few, we’ll see with some of these races, any last minute changes?

Larry Sabato: Yes there are… there are… there’s movement in a number of races. I think, you know, what’s important to remember is what’s changed. When mycrystalball wesidte projected Republicans to take the House at the end of August, there was great disagreement about it, In fact, on your air, the DNC’s Tim Kane had a few choice words for me. Now, you can’t find an analyst… a non-partisan analyst who doesn’t think the Republicans are going to take the House, and by a wide margin. You know, you can argue about the exact number… is it in the 40s, the 50s, the 60s? You can argue forever about that, but I think that the trend is very clear, in the Republican direction. In the Senate, you were absolutely right a few minutes ago to point to Washington State. In most of the other races, I think the trend is pretty clear, and I hold to what we have declared on the crystal ball website. Washington State, though, is going to be extremely close, and remember they have all-mail voting, you can vote even on Tuesday evening and… I suspect it’ll be Thursday or Friday before we really know in that race, assuming it is close, and if it’s a squeaker, it’ll go on beyond that.

FOX fox: You were the first non-partisan pollster to point out that the House was going Republicans this year, obviously, you said that you caught a little bet of flack for that. In the Senate races you do mention Washington but you also mention that a strong breeze for several of these races could blow the results in either direction. Besides Washington, is there any other Senate races that you’re watching as a “tipping point;” if that race goes one direction or the other, that means the other ones will go as well.

Larry Sabato: Well sure, you’ve got very close races in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Colorado, Nevada. Right now I have all four going Republican, all four of them. The only race that is close that seems… seems… to have a Democratic trend is West Virginia… and we’ll watch that early on election night, that’s going to be an indicator. If somehow, the Republicans pick up the West Virginia U.S. Senate seat, then I think Republicans will win the Senate.

FOX fox: Real quick here Larry, I think our viewers have a lot of questions about how this terror plot, that came out on Friday, and obviously a big story for us today, even now, may or may not affect the elections, just your point of view on that, is there any sort of effect on that news story on the results we might see?

Larry Sabato: The effect is zero. This is an election about the economy, it’s a referendum, of sorts, on President Obama, as midterm elections always are, this is not an election about terrorism. I’m not saying it isn’t important, I’m not saying it isn’t a vital subject, but it is not about this election and this election is not about it.
