Midterm Madness Election Party

Posted on 10/31/2010 12:27:39 PM PDT by PeanutbutterandJellybean

We are hosting a "Midterm Madness Election Party." Inviting those friends, neighbors, etc., who lean to the right. Wondering if anyone else is, and if you are doing anything special during the evening? While we watch the election returns roll in, to see if we take back the house and senate... we will toast if we take either/both, and have a large bell to ring everytime a republican wins. We will be serving a buffet dinner. The house will be decorated with "red" party goods, balloons, and a spiked "red" punch. Anyone else with other suggestions?

I’ll be too busy laughing as the returns come in to be bothered with entertaining.

On election night I am always alone, and field calls from my friends who have moved around the country. They start calling when the returns come in and depending on their leanings they hope for the best or laugh along with me.

I guess my social urges just cool on election night. The returns on nights when my side wins are like crack, and I don’t like to share, just wanna groove.

Good luck with your party!

Unfortunately, we're in California so it'll be another "just damn" night for us....we'll be getting Boxer back and round 3 of Jerry the whackjob.

No parties here.

here in jacksonville, FL we are having a Tea Party party in downtown Jax, on” The Landing”..right by the river..music, speakers, Fox news on the Jumbotron.

for your party...what about one of those bingo betting games they do for superbowl...I forget how they go, but you could put all the Reps on the cards to see who guesses best as to who wins which seats.

How about Red White and Blue streamers in the trees in the Front yard with Small flags everywhere...

My husband is working that night, so it’ll be me, the dobermans and a bottle of champagne.

Let the good times roll!

I try to have hurricane or blizzard parties.

Tis a good thing.

The Monday break between the Hallows and the poll may not be sufficient this time.

If I still had a real job I would have taken the week off.

As it is, my fifty hours started Friday, and ends Wednesday.
I hope to make it out by midnight tonight, so I can find my freak show wife in Salem.

I’ll be here on FR getting the latest from all the best sources! Split screens so I don’t miss anything, which seems to have been my motto of late!......Eats a plenty to celebrate and enjoy the ride. There’s going to be some tense moments for sure!

I know exactly where you are having this as I lived in Jacksonville for a short time. The Landing is a perfect place! Will visit the news there to see your party! Ha!

Monitoring FR on Tuesday night will be supplemented with
watching PMSNBC and watching them squirm! Even the local news readers here in liberal southern WI, will be looking mighty gloomy on the 10pm newscast. They’ve been very biased in their reporting on Scott Walker’s run for Gov. and Ron Johnson’s run to defeat Russ Feingold.

Also worth tuning into for the fun, will be The Spew, on Wednesday morning. I might actually watch it for the first time ever!

Cheers!

I’ll be sitting up on top of my mountain alone. My nephew is also up here, but he is a gay, religion of pieces loving, liberal who worships at the altar of anthropogenic global warming.

I’ll be having a wonderful time. The nephew, not so much.

I’m attending two functions Tuesday night (I’m working a polling place from 7 to 7). My Tea Party is having one, then I’m going to support my State Rep whose campaign I’ve been working to help unseat an Obamite.

Oh yeah! I’m interested to see how California and Nevada go as well....oh there are many to watch and it’s mighty exciting! Toomey’s ahead here in Pa. I hope he landslides it.

Last night watched a vidio of the men in out country who fought for our freedom...snapshoots of civil war soldiers etc. Made me truly grateful for the wars they have fought so I might be free...and this war is being fought by the ballot just as Lincoln said!!

“THE BALLOT IS STRONGER THAN THE BULLIT”......................Abraham Lincoln

READY ...AIM....FIRE! Come Tuesday!

Hell, sounds like time for an intimate pig roast/baby seal sampler/skeet shoot with Wild Turkey aperitifs right before the axe throwing contest.

Illuminated by a huge bonfire of truck tires and endangered old growth tropical tree chunks, of course.

Great Ideas. I’m going out to find some old tires right now. Wait a minute... I’m sure the nephew has a spare tire in his car. Aw screw that. I’ll just take his rear passenger side tire. He won’t notice it. Well, not at first anyhow.

If Barney Frank loses, it will be so sweet!
And Babs Boxer!
Harry Reid!
So many, so worthy of being sent home.
We have been saddled with Russ Feingold for 18 years.
He is a low life.
He was one of only 2 senators who would not vote to end partial birth abortion during the Clinton era. That tells me all I need to know about him.

I just went out and bought my bottle of spirits for election night. I decided on my favorite, Martini and Rossi Asti. It’s chilling.

: )
