Absolutely right. I think we should have a rule that if you want to share a post from your own blog, you post the whole thing--unless it is a really long piece and you need to excerpt for that reason.

A related rule should be that if you have a blog post about a youtube video, you should just post a link to the youtube video. Your blog comment about the video can be the post.

Directing traffic from here to your personal sites under the pretense that you are providing some article you found on the internet is just wrong, vain and not necessary. If you have an opinion and want to share it, that's what we are here for. If you have an independent site and want to get us to visit, you shouldn't do it by blog pimping.
