Nine Days, Ninth District, Nine Dollars

On the weekend of October 8th, Dick Muri and his wife, Mary, flew to San Diego where he was honored and endorsed by the Combat Veterans for Congress. The organization endorsed 25 candidates for congress who previously served in our country's military.

The Combat Veterans for Congress endorse former USAF Lt Colonel Dick Muri as a "fiscally conservative candidate who will work to rein in the out of control spending by the Pelosi Congress." In addition to his achievements in the Air Force and on the Pierce County Council, Lt Colonel Muri received the 1996 John M. Anderson Military Citizen of the year award and then again was one of two civilians inducted in 2006 into the Fort Lewis Civilians Hall of Fame.

Washington's 9th Congressional District has the third highest concentration of veterans and active duty military out of all 435 districts in the country. Dick Muri's 22 years of service in the United States Air Force and experience at McChord Air Force Base make him an exemplary candidate to service the constituents in the district. No challenger has ever come this close to unseating the far-left incumbent, Congressman Adam Smith. The race is now considered a "toss-up," and we need your help in the sprint to the finish.

Recently, Adam Smith has been using his campaign kitty -- 55% of which comes from lobbyists and Political Action Committees -- to attack Dick. Calling him a hypocrite and lying about his record on the Pierce County Council. It's a shame that the Congressman feels he needs to campaign in such a dirty fashion. Its sure sign of desperation.

Dick Muri has dedicated his life to public service, both in the military and in local government. Like he does on the Pierce County Council, Dick Muri will go to congress to serve the people, not corporate lobbyists and special interests.

We are getting some wonderful reports out of Washington State and the Dick Muri campaign. Muri, a retired Lt Col, and member of Combat Veterans For Congress, is in a virtual dead heat with far left Pelosi clone Adam Smith in Washington’s 9th District.

Muri has been flying under the radar, and despite being outspent 6:1, is within the margin of error in the latest poling, thanks to a superior ground game and lots of volunteers.

Adam Smith has flooded the market with negative ads. As close as this race is, and as fed up as voters are, it won’t take much to close this deal.
