“Homosexuality was contrary to Nazi ideals.”
The Nazis were at times inconsistent-shall we say hypocritical-concerning policy and practice.

There were definitely contradictions in the leadership. None of the leaders, including Hitler, were examples of Nazi idealism. Nevertheless, the ideals were for a strong, brutal, Aryan race, which were identified as tall, muscular, and blond were enforced. Homosexuality had no place in Nazi idealism. In fact, homosexuality was against the law in Germany. The great error that people make when studying the Nazis is the failure to understand the strong philosophical foundation that led to National Socialism. Long before Adolf Hitler appeared on the scene, the philosophical foundation was laid by such men as Nietzsche, Heidegger, and Marx. It is a mistake to believe that the Nazi movement was nothing more than a bunch of degenerates bent on violence. Winning a war does not destroy the philosophical foundation which led to it.
