MICHAEL STEELE THROWS TEA PARTY CANDIDATE UNDER THE BUS!
WebToday | 10-22-10 | WebToday

Posted on 10/21/2010 8:56:15 PM PDT by geraldmcg

WEBTODAY-- Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele threw another TEA Party candidate under the bus—the Fire Pelosi Bus!

The Fire Pelosi bus—with Michael Steele in it—literally drove within 3 minutes of the headquarters of conservative TEA Party congressional candidate Dr. Marvin Scott, a feisty challenger candidate opposing another black man, ultra liberal incumbent André Carson, without stopping!

Why? Was it because Dr. Scott’s Democrat opponent more accurately reflected the views of GOP national leadership? Highly unlikely, because it was Democrat Andre Carson who falsely smeared Tea Partiers in Washington DC as racists, lying that they shout the "N" word at Congressional Black Caucus members.

So, again, Why the blatant drive-by snub? Could it be that Michael Steele has simply hopped on the bandwagon—or the band bus in this case—because it is politically expedient to do so? Where is his sincere heart to advance TEA Party candidates and deep commitment to oust those, like Pelosi, who oppose constitutional TEA Party ideals? Inquiring grassroots activists of all shapes and colors want to know.

Well, if Mike Steele is trying to help conservative TEA Party Republican Candidate Marvin Scott, he has a strange way of showing it: leaving Scott campaign HQ in a cloud of diesel dust!

But this isn’t an isolated instance. There is a clear pattern of “drive-by snubbings.” One shameful example is when GOP ‘House Speaker-in-waiting’ John Boehner literally drove right past TEA Party black Republican Charlotte Bergman’s office on South Yates Street, in Memphis TN, the street with her campaign HQ offices, close enough to throw a rock through her window. Talk about a drive-by snub! If this is the way the wanna-be future GOP House Speaker treats TEA Party candidates before he is the Speaker, how malicious might his neglect become when he snatches the gavel out of Pelosi’s hands?

To show just a sliver of the treacherous treatment dished out by the ‘good ol’ boy’ Republican establishment, look no further than the fact that about 13 of the 15 TEA Party black Republican primary victors were not even given access to the GOP "Voter Vault," standard issue for most Republican candidates—without pitched battles from their campaigns! And in fact, Boehner has not appeared with any black Republicans running for Congress in 2010!

ABOUT THE MARVIN SCOTT CONGRESSIONAL RACE:

There is a patriot and Tea Party candidate locked in a struggle against an unsavory incumbent AND the political establishment, Dr. Marvin Scott. Scott is seeking to unseat incumbent André Carson... an extreme leftist, darling of the Progressive Caucus, who sports one of the most socialist voting records in Congress, one of the most irresponsible policy agendas in Washington, and is one of only two Muslim members of Congress actively championing Islam, the Ground Zero Mosque and harsh Islamic Sharia law in America. Carson is a close friend of Louis Farrakhan -- the radical black Muslim "leader" notorious for spewing vile racial hatred, Israel-hatred and virulent anti-Semitism whenever he gets the chance.

Scott is a fighter for taxpayers, a champion of free markets and a defender of liberty and Constitutional freedoms. He is a committed 'No" vote on government bailouts, cap and trade, any form of amnesty to illegal aliens, taxpayer funding of abortion -- and a "Yes" vote on the repeal of ObamaCare!

Scott is committed to an end in feckless federal spending, debt and dependency, and joblessness -- and has vowed to transform and limit government at every level in order to address critical issues of taxation, regulation, litigation, health, energy, education and infrastructure. The policies Scott has pledged to pursue in Washington will provide lower taxes, less government and real job creation.

Scott's great challenge has been the national GOP "leadership" write-off off the Indiana 7th CD. They seem to fear the district's complexion, but Scott deems their attitudes ignorant and short-sighted. Roll Call and other political reports are beginning to pick up the story of how the GOP is ducking and failing to support solid minority candidates like Scott in tough districts that the grassroots patriot and Tea Party movement are determined to win back from the Left.

Certainly money is no object for Carson, whose career is funded by shadowy Israel-haters and Islamist leaders who have known affiliations and funding relationships to identified terrorist organizations. Carson has a “100” rating from the radical Arab American Institute, and signed on to a letter condemning our ally Israel.

Carson is a star of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which is joined at the hip with the Democratic Socialists of America. He has been in lockstep with Nancy Pelosi since the House Speaker contributions of $4,000 of her own campaign funds and $10,000 more from her PAC to Carson’s campaigns.

Carson’s also been scrutinized for questionable contributions to his campaigns, from disgraced U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel and from CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, a notorious Saudi-funded front organization for the terrorist group Hamas.

Tea Party activists say here are just a few of the reasons why Carson must be swept from the nation’s capital this November:

• Shamefully lied to smear Tea Party activists not only as racists, but as a terrorist threat to the nation. • Voted for ObamaCare and opposes its repeal. • Earned a “0” from the American Conservative Union with one of the most radical voting records imaginable. • Earned a “100” from Planned Parenthood and NARAL as an advocate of unlimited abortion on demand. • Signed a letter condemning Israel and received a “100” from the extreme-leftist Arab American Institute.

Dr. Marvin Scott is a Tea Party candidate of integrity who holds deep conservative convictions he will fight for -- and while the GOP national establishment is not lifting a finger for him, the grassroots believes they can trust him in Washington -- and they are working their hearts out for him. There is a new money bomb up at www.StopCarsonNow.com for ad buys, and they are a third of the way to their goal in three days. Not just Carson, but the Republican establishment better be on the lookout!

ABOUT CHARLOTTE BERGMANN’S CONGRESSIONAL RACE…

Memphis, TN – Memphis Republican Congressional Candidate has enjoyed the support of Tennessee elected officials Congressman Marsha Blackburn, Congressman Phil Roe, Senator Lamar Alexander, Senator Bob Corker, Governor Winfield Dunn, and RNC National Chairman Michael Steele. But when House Minority Leader John Boehner travels through Memphis Thursday to help a Republican running for Congress in Mississippi, literally driving by the Charlotte Bergmann Headquarters, he will once again not campaign for a black Republican running for Congress.

Charlotte Bergmann sprang into the public conscience in the Republican Primary when it was revealed that years ago she lost her home, lived in her car briefly, yet still raised 3 kids and earned a MBA from Christian Brothers University. She is challenging Steve Cohen in the November 2 General Election.

A REMARKABLE RELEASE FROM OPERATION BLACK STORM…

PATRIOT PAC DENOUNCES GOP "LEADERS" DISRESPECT OF OUTSTANDING MINORITY CANDIDATES

OPERATION BLACK STORM STEPPING UP SUPPORT Groups Join Forces to Promote Conservative Black Candidates

CONTACT:(630)548-9300; info@patriotpac.com

Houston, TX (Oct.21, 2010)--Patriot PAC ten days ago announced Operation Black Storm, a national coalition effort to unite the nation behind the 15 black conservative congressional candidates running in key districts around the country as Republican nominees for the November 2nd elections.

To date, not one single national Congressional GOP "leader" has stepped forward to assist this effort or to support this slate of candidates!

These candidates are true leaders in the revolutionary charge among America's Tea Party and Patriot movement for substantive political reform. Operation Black Storm has joined their fight to fundamentally reshape the makeup of the U.S. Congress and the way our so-called political leaders address public and policy issues of race in America.

Marvin Scott - IN-7, Chuck Smith - VA-3, Bill Randall - NC-13, Tim Scott - SC-3, Charlotte Bergman - TN-9, Michael Faulkner - NY-15, Robert Broadus - MD-4, Charles Lollar - MD-5, Bill Marcy - MS-2, Stephen Broden - TX-9, Star Parker - CA-37, Ryan Frazier - CO-7, Allen West - FL-22, Isaac Hayes - IL-2, and Vince Danet - US Virgin Islands are Operation Black Storm candidates, several of whom have received individual endorsements from GOP notables Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich. Ambassador Alan Keyes, Tea Party favorite and grassroots conservative activist, has been the one "big name" providing funding, public relations assistance and facilities and resources for coordinating the coalition efforts.

But to date, not a single official GOP "leader" of the Congress has endorsed this outstanding slate of official GOP Congressional nominees, duly elected from a historic primary season fielding some 37 black candidates running for federal office. Only conservative grassroots favorite Ambassador Alan Keyes has promoted Operation Black Storm and helped fill the conspicuous lack of Republican Party funding and support -- and while some state GOP figures have endorsed, fundraised and showed up for individual candidates, only Operation Black Storm is helping this sterling slate of pro-life, pro-family Constitutionalist conservative candidates on a national level.

Meanwhile, the GOP "leadership" drives by... GOP Chairman Michael Steele and the "Fire Pelosi Bus" was three minutes from Marvin Scott for Congress HQ in Indianapolis, IN but despite repeated invitations did not stop -- where a spirited conservative challenge is being mounted in the home district of disgraced incumbent Andre Carson who falsely smeared Tea Partiers in Washington DC as racists shouting the "N" word.

Operation Black Storm is a coalition of Political Action Committees participating with endorsements and financial support include iCaucus, Patriot PAC, Frederick Douglass Foundation PAC, Declaration Alliance PAC and more.

Operation Black Storm's mission is to provide vital support, so there is heightened national voter awareness of the policy positions and the governing philosophy of these outstanding candidates as new leaders for America. Apparently, it is a conservative philosophy the national GOP "leadership" is not ready to invest in.

PATRIOT PAC ANNOUNCES OPERATION BLACK STORM Groups Join Forces to Promote Conservative Black Candidates

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Oct.11, 2010 CONTACT: (205) 492-1810; info@patriotpac.com

Houston, TX--Patriot PAC has unveiled Operation Black Storm, a national coalition effort to unite the nation behind the 15 black conservative congressional candidates running in key districts around the country as Republican nominees for the upcoming November elections.

Helping to lead the charge among the Tea Party and Patriot movement in America for substantive political reform, Operation Black Storm will fight to fundamentally reshape the makeup of the U.S. Congress on November 2, 2010.

Star Parker - CA-37, Ryan Frazier - CO-7, Allen West - FL-22, Isaac Hayes - IL-2, Marvin Scott - IN-7, Robert Broadus - MD-4, Charles Lollar - MD-5, Bill Marcy - MS-2, Michael Faulkner - NY-15, Bill Randall - NC-13, Tim Scott - SC-3, Charlotte Bergman - TN-9, Stephen Broden - TX-9, Chuck Smith - VA-3, and Vince Danet - US Virgin Islands are Operation Black Storm candidates, several of whom have received endorsements from conservative grassroots favorites Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Alan Keyes.

This coalition has put its collective weight behind these highly qualified conservative black candidates to provide the resources and exposure they need to win on Election Day. Coalition members helping with voter education and candidate scorecards include Break the Bonds of Tyranny, Unite in Action, The ConservativeMESSENGER, The Frederick Douglass Foundation, and The Black Sphere, among others.

Political Action Committees participating with endorsements and financial support include iCaucus, Patriot PAC, Frederick Douglass Foundation PAC, Declaration Alliance PAC and more.

K. Carl Smith, President of The ConservativeMESSENGER, declared, “We want to reignite America’s passion for liberty and create an atmosphere for political dialogue where conservative candidates can engage in conversation about the issues without being accused of racism or called Uncle Toms. Today marks the beginning of the end of playing the race card to silence conservative voices and keep blacks voting opposite their core values.”

Operation Black Storm's mission is to provide vital support, so there is heightened national voter awareness of the policy positions and the governing philosophy of these outstanding new leaders for America.

It’s time for conservatives to make a statement on the racism issue and Patriot PAC and its coalition are intent on ensuring this statement is made loud and clear.

Smith continued, “It’s finally time for our nation to get past racial barriers in politics, and with Operation Black Storm we intend to send a message to Washington that--above all--Americans of all backgrounds, colors, and decent faiths want their God-given right for SELF-RULE.”

GOP House Contenders Flying under the Radar -- Indiana 7 By Richard Baehr

This has become one of those dynastic Democrat districts. It was represented in Congress by Julia Carson, from 1996 until her death in 2007, and since 2008 by her grandson, Andre Carson. Like Schakowsky, Carson is a near 100% supporter of the Pelosi agenda in Congress. This district, while Democrat-friendly, is less so than Illinois 9. Charles Cook rates it Democrat 14, but in the special election for the open seat in 2008, Andre Carson won by only 9,000 votes, or 11%, in a very Democratic year. This year is likely to be much less friendly to the Democrats in this district, and across Indiana. Barack Obama carried Indiana in 2008, but Dan Coats, the GOP Senate candidate, leads by close to 20% in the race for Evan Bayh's open seat.

Some analysts assume that this Indianapolis area district must be a black-majority district (and therefore unwinnable, given strong majorities won by Democrats among African-Americans), since Carson, a black Muslim, is its representative. In fact, fewer than 30% of residents are African-American, and the same job loss issue plaguing so many other districts, is a big issue here. The Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda has not facilitated job creation, while running up huge record-breaking annual deficits.

There are also some unique issues in this contest. Schakowsky is J-Street's queen bee, but Carson is Louis Farrakhan's candidate of choice, and has signed letters very critical of Israel's right to defend itself, earning him a 100% rating from the Arab American League. He has angered 2nd-amendment supporters with his anti-gun position. He has voted for all the major spending and regulatory bills -- TARP, the stimulus, the health care reform bill, the financial regulatory bill.

Carson's opponent, Dr. Marvin Scott, is also African-American, and a Professor of Sociology at Butler University, the school that came to national prominence with its run to the finals of the men's NCAA basketball tournament this year. Scott, one of seven children of parents who grew up in the segregated South, is one of three in his family to work for a Ph.D., proof if ever needed, that the American dream is still alive and kicking for those willing to strive.

Scott is a social and fiscal conservative, a supporter of a strong national defense, and an ardent supporter of Israel. He is, to say the least, no fan of Louis Farrakhan. Scott ran for the Senate in 2004 and has name recognition in the state and in his district. He has the support of Congressman Mike Pence and Congressman Dan Burton. With all the competitive House races, Scott has had difficulty raising money in what could be a winnable race in a low turnout year for traditional Democratic voters in the district. For more on Dr. Scott's campaign, or to contribute, visit his website: www.drmarvinscottforcongress.com.

I’m extremely tired of Michael Steele! I puke upon Michael Steele for his criminality in betraying conservatives, and any principles that might be called patriotic!

I would guess he did this because the Indiana GOP is still RINO establishment GOP (read: Coats). Steele doesn’t want to upset the establishment types, he’s one of them.

We need to flush them out 2010, 2012, 2014 and on...........

A little news blurb on the radio this morning said that the RNC was deep in the red while the Dhimmis still have some $13m in reserves.

Thank you Michael Steele.

Someday, we’ll have a Tea Party Speaker of the House. Something to look forward to and work for.

Their use of all-caps for “TEA Party” is irritating. The Tea Party movement is named after the Boston Tea Party; it’s not an acronym for something.

Steele didn’t cost them money by himself. You can thank all the GOP “leaders” and most of the GOP office holders. I’ll never give a dime to the GOP until it becomes a conservative party. And apparently democrat liberals don’t want them either. Surprise, McCain!

But what really sickens me is Palin straddling the fence. She supports Tea Party candidates then kisses Steele and McCain’s butts. As far as I’m concerned the jury is still out on her. And I hope I’m wrong.

Steele is doing a good job. Don’t let the fooled or purposeful change anything. The GOP has a chance to come back strong and the Tea Party gets all the credit. Smart folks read words, idiots interpret what they barely understand.

Boy, was I mistaken when I supported Steele for the Chairman job... I am really disappointed in him. He has not shown the leadership I was expecting and he bought into the ‘club’ hook, line and sinker along with the arrogance!
