BTW, my sense is that the lawsuit against Free Republic should make us MORE determined to protect this treasure that Jim & John have provided us in FR. No one’s said anything, but lawyers cost extra cash. A major equipment crash and burn a while back costs extra cash. This is all to say that there’s a real need.

Being conservative does not equate to automatically having disposable income. Yes, I have a computer (that my father bought for me about 6 years ago). Yes, I have internet. I have given up television and newspaper in order to afford it. I also homeschool my kids, make my house payment and pay my taxes on a fixed income. We simply cannot cut out anything else from our budget.
