The University of Arizona hosted a crowd of nearly 1,000 people in the Arizona Memorial Student Union to watch incumbent Democrat Gabrielle Giffords, Republican Jesse Kelly and Libertarian Steven Stoltz face questions from three panelists Monday evening. But it was Kelly who held the crowds attention and captured their imagination.
The Eighth Congressional District forum provided a platform for Jesse Kelly to address the real issues facing Arizonas citizens and proudly differentiate himself from his liberal opponent, Giffords who does not support SB 1070, as the majority of our state does. Despite being in hostile territory, Kelly more than held his own.
With the election less than two weeks away, Gabrielle Giffords is on the defensive in a fiscally conservative voting district. She is desperate to hide her record of support for Obamas agenda to reconfigure America including her votes for the TARP bailout, the failed stimulus, Cap and Trade, and ObamaCare.
The Cook Political Report, The Rothenberg Political Report, Real Clear Politics and Election Oracle all handicap this race as a toss up. It is most assuredly winnable for Jesse Kelly.
The televised debate can be seen here. Watch as Kelly holds Giffords feet to the fire during the second half.

Good for Jesse!!!!!
Then there is Ruth McClung, next door (including where the U of A stands) in District 7.
I hope both of them win!!!!
Jesse Kelly needs money to keep his ads on next week. Giffords has a big war chest and Jesse needs as much help as he can get.
