“A nice little Tea Party-led political reversal in 2010 won’t come close to arresting the damage, let alone reverse it.”

Nope it will not - the Tea party is great for what it is, but they don’t want to address social issues.

And that's the real trouble in America today. It is the social issues that are sending the country down the drain. It is the refusal of the supposedly conservative Republican Party to take vocal and legislative stand against the detrimental social trends that have sent America into a tailspin (abortion, affirmative action, forced racial integration, anti-smoking, anti gun rights, out-of-wedlock births, divorce, homosexuality, illegal alien immigration, out of control welfare, ridiculous trade policies, "free trade" etc.) All of this fuels the high taxation of the federal government to support their social engineering goals at our expense.
