College will make them better grape pickers!

Seriously now...how can he be pandering here? They don’t vote, do they? What voter in CA is pleased by this?

Is there any reason to believe this is not exactly what a majority of California voters support?

Only the illegal voters.

Yup! She should definitely exploit this nugget from Moon Beam.

Looks like Moon Beam is going after the illegal alien voting block.

If you are in California, please let me know when you find non-English voting materials that instruct people to vote without first being citizens. I know I found a voter registration form on public transit (a bus) warning people that they could not vote without first being citizens (violation of this was a felony) but it was in English only.

I know. Same here. And then there is the Motor Voter Fraud Act...

"Oh, if I'm eligible for food stamps, I must be eligible to vote".

Former-Gov Moonbeam, your home planet is calling! From some recent statements by this moron I believe the implanted flatworm brain did not take. If he gets elected by the California voters, at some level i9t will be worth the laughs for the rest of us who don’t live there.

It might be, but where can I sign to keep a dime of my federal taxes from bailing their sorry asses out when it’s time to pay the piper? If Californians really, really want to send illegals to college I suppose that’s their right, under the State’s Rights argument, but don’t make ME pay for their bailout (which the price of sending illegals to college will hasten).

When you throw in the illegals already in Fornistan, and another 2 or 3 million transient voters from Mexico, how can you lose?

Well, that's just the thing. If your a lefty Californian, you know perfectly well that the gravy train is going to keep rolling for awhile. Our federal tax dollars will keep going to bail these irresponsible people out for years to come - and they know it. Eventually the whole rotten system will collapse in places like CA, NY, and IL, but we may be a long way yet from all this spending finally catching up to them. If the GOP wins at least the House, just cutting off the state/union bailouts will be a significant victory for us.

Californians will continue their irresponsibility until they literally can't do it anymore. Once state aid/union bailouts finally end (assuming the GOP actually wins at least the House), the next step for Californians will be to raise state taxes further and further until the goose that laid the proverbial golden egg is well and truly dead. This is the natural progression of the social welfare state.

I think this is sort of a trial ballon case for the democrats, with the Whitman setup and now this, if Brown locks in an overwhelming majority of the hispanic vote, then this campaign will be the prototype for democratic campaigns anywhere there is a large hispanic population.

there must be a way to highlight the idiocy of new spending plans in a state already bankrupt while not necessarily highlighting the illegal alien angle.

That's what I meant by "finesse." I think that's exactly what she'll do. In fact she's already hitting that angle very hard in her "Jerry Brown --hide your wallets!" campaign. But any ad the Brown thugs think could be interpreted as anti-hispanic would be demagogued mercilessly.

“I know of absolutely no one in CA who would support Moombeam’s lunacy of giving perks to illegals.”

What about the 20% of Hispanic voters in CA?

They are usually the ones marching in the streets for bennies for illegal aliens.

Of the Hispanics (legal ones) that I know, a great many of them have no use whatsoever for their border-jumping cousins.

Of course, I don't know any La Raza or Mecha members either. I'm quite sure that those are the folks, along with the illegals themselves, who are doing the marching in the streets.

Outrageous. Brown wants to reward people for breaking our laws - at a time when we struggle to send our children to college.

It is possible this kind of boneheaded pandering could actually work against him by helping undecided but likely voters to swing republican - At least those with a modicum of judgment.

The leftoids who love this kind of stuff are already true believers but (hopefully) this isn’t actually sometning to get them fired up enough to actually vote. Unless they are illegal and looking for a ride into college on the taxpayers dime.

Okay tell me that this is not the perfect pitch of a political deaf ear. Think about this... Your kid is trying to apply for college, it is going to be hard to pay for it as it is... now you have just that many less spaces for your kids to get in.... and he just announced that your kid is going to have to compete with more people.... smart.

Your approach is the Liberal RINO approach. Whitman needs to go after Brown for this illegal alien tuition scam. Most Democrat voters are against Amnesty or any special benefits for illegals....not challenging Brown on this means a big win for him.

The GOP needs to stop pandering to illegals....and needs to boot out GOPers who support any Amnesty for illegals. Even in California. Any form of amnesty is a loser

He obviously means every kid from the entire world should be allowed to enroll in that college, at our expense.

Yes you are watching the country being destroyed before your very eyes. What he is doing should be illegal but he will do it “legally”.
