After hearing VP Biden discuss strangling Republicans, Barack Obama promises hand to hand combat if Republicans win big in November. From the Los Angeles Times:
"A Republican majority in Congress would mean 'hand-to-hand combat' on Capitol Hill for the next two years, threatening policies Democrats have enacted to stabilize the economy, President Obama warned Wednesday.
Speaking on Michael Baisden's syndicated radio show, Obama also made a direct appeal to African Americans about the importance of the November vote, even though he's not on the ballot himself.
'The reason we won [in 2008] is because young people, African Americans, Latinos -- people who traditionally don't vote in high numbers -- voted in record numbers. We've got to have that same kind of turnout in this election," he said. 'If we think that we can just vote one time, then we have a nice party at Obama's inauguration, and then we can kind of sit back and suddenly everything's going to change - that's just not how it works.'"
Why does Barack Obama so often lapse into imagery of violence when describing opponents? During the campaign he boasted that if his opponents "bring a knife to a fight, we bring a gun." Later on, when he began to feel the heat, he talked about the need (for others, apparently) to practice civility in politics and suggested we all tone down the rhetoric.
If only he would apply the same type of emotions when dealing with our enemies. He saves his venom for political opponents of his; not for America's adversaries.
Furthermore, what happened to his 2004 call for an America that was not split into a white America or black America or Latino America. Now, he again makes a blatant appeal focused on identity politics.

"Surely my jaw can't drop any further from things this president says and does. Yet somehow, he still manages to deliver what seems to be a daily dose of shock and awe. Should the GOP retake the House and Senate as a result of the November midterms, an article yesterday in the latimes.com quotes our president as saying '...we are going to have just hand-to-hand combat up here on Capitol Hill.' What? The continuing undignified and un-presidential phraseology aside, the comment is a profound demonstration of Mr. Obama's unwillingness to accept the will of the people. Of course we should expect any president to continue to try to advance his agenda, and this president was elected by a large majority, but if Republicans do indeed retake Congress in the midterms, it will be because the voters ... Republicans, Independents, and probably a few newly-awakened Democrats have decreed it. Thus, the president would be wise to take heed. If 'hand-to-hand combat' breaks out on Capitol Hill, in short, if the president refuses to moderate his agenda and the Republicans have to constantly fight the president to enact the will of the voters, Mr. Obama is quite mistaken if he thinks he will be at war with a Republican Congress. Oh, no, Mr. Obama will in fact be at war with the American people."

So, the “great unifier” selects hand-to-hand combat? I’m confused. There were twenty national journalists in 2008 who talked extensively about how an Obama administration could work on both sides of the aisle and bring people together. I would suggest that the White House starts learning how to go from the campaign mode to a regular White House operation...like the previous forty-odd presidents had to deal with.
I cannot believe that I am about to say what I am going to say, but Obama is right! We just differ in one way and that is Obama thinks it will be ‘political hand to hand combat’, where as I think it may come to literal ‘hand to hand’ combat!
Everyone seems to think that the great ‘tsunami’ that appears to becoming in November for the Republicans will change everything and I agree that it will just not in the way they think. IMHO such a great victory will in the end be equal to South Carolina’s firing on Fort Sumter. The ‘DemonRATs’ and the leftist will ‘go to the mattresses’ and ‘war’ will breakout
Does Obama/Pelosi/Reed or their kind seem like people who can take even such a dramatic loss gracefully? Do they seem like people who can or will learn from a loss and correct their course accordingly? Or do they seem more like people who will go to any lengths for revenge?
So many seem to think that November’s elections are some ‘Magic Wand’ that will wipe away our troubles! Let me tell you after such a win (if it happens) the REAL TROUBLE WILL BEGIN!
Yes the Republicans will more than like scored big this November, but will the ‘DemonRATs’ learn anything? Hell NO! For that matter will the RINO’s learn anything? Just read from any number of articles on O’Donnell’s win, look at what Rove and Snowe have said, look at what Murkowski and Crist are doing, look at how the Republican Leadership of RINO’s allowed Murkowski to keep her committee positions! Do not these acts show you what will be learned from such a victory, LITTLE if anything! The Elitist Jerks of both parties are scrambling for their political lives and they know it!
Oh you say but those ‘DemonRATs’ up for re-election in 2012 will learn fear, they will be scared to the ‘middle’. First the middle of the road is where you get run over! Being in the middle of the road is what got the Republicans’ butt kicked in 2008! Some say oh they won’t pass anything with the the people so opposed to them, to which I say, BS! DO any of you remember the crowds that surrounded Congress during the ‘Obamacare’ vote? Did it scare them?
Look about you it’s not only the ‘DemonRATs’ but the RINO’s as well who refuse to see that they have brought, supported and passed an agenda that the American People have rejected. They still feel that they know best and any defeat will only come about due to the ignorance of the electorate.
I have posted this before and I will keep posting it (I am beginning to feel like Paul Revere: THE RADICAL PROGRESSIVES ARE COMING! THE RADICAL PROGRESSIVES ARE COMING!) because I know in my heart that I am right about this, too many are thinking that the upcoming November elections are going to reset everything. And I say that NO matter how bad November is for the ‘DemonRATs’ you can bet that ‘Zero’ and his kind will not only press on with their agenda but DOUBLE DOWN on it! And now it looks as if there will be RINO’s looking for their revenge from getting their butts kicked out that will join them.
I don’t believe that the November elections will immediately change a thing! The Washington creatures both Democrat and RINO still believe that they know best and will act accordingly.
Even if there is the BIGGEST turnover in history this November the Obama/Pelosi/Reid triad are such a pack of narcissist that they will come back during the ‘lame duck’ session and pass every far left-wing bill they can think of! They will burn the house down before they surrender it! If they can’t drink from the well they will poison it for all! If they can’t keep it they will surround it with mines and keep anyone else from getting to it! That will be their reaction.
Even after the ‘lame’ duck session you will see the greatest attempt by any President in our history to rule by executive order! ‘Zero’ KNOWS BEST what is good for us and he will act accordingly. No mere election won by a bunch of peasants or as ‘Zero’ describe us: Bitter Clingers (“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”) is going to change his direction. To ‘Zero’ such a election will hold no meaning and only be the ‘peasants acting out’ and he knows what is best for those ‘bitter clingers’ and he will do it to save them from themselves!
If anyone thinks that a big loss in November will make one iota of difference in Obama and the ‘DemonRATs’ leftist agenda you need to seek professional help immediately, because I assure you that the sounds you will hear coming from them after such a lost will not be the ‘wailing and gnashing of teeth’ it will be the notes of El Degüello.

IMHO the November elections will NOT provide the immediate relief we think, but will instead it will be the ‘dropped gauntlet’ the slap across the face the challenge that will bring us to what I call a National ‘Battle of Athens’ moment (http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~tnnews/kns001.htm )
A time in which it will require much more action that punching a ballot to save the Republic. There is so little ‘middle ground’ left and what there is, is shrinking every day.
IMHO there will soon be a time of great choosing and you will be required to make a stand to: Choose this day how you will serve; Will you serve unwillingly and at the bidding of others wearing the yoke of socialism or will you hold true to the course of our forefathers’ standing tall and serving freely? Obama is a straight up pussy. He may act like a bad-ass, like some suburban ‘gangsta’ rapper and stuff, but he can’t do sheet if doesn’t have the votes in Congress. It’s all rhetorical. It’s his way of reframing the argument in this land. He’s not going to hire someone like Dick Morris and pull a Clinton triangulation after the mid-terms... Oh no. He’s going to try to paint Republicans as ‘obstructionists’ and keep the bullsheet class warfare arguments going and continue to push his Collectivist agenda. He’s working on divide and conquer. The problem is, people have caught on and they aren’t buying.
The problem for us is that these arseholes are still in power and doing damage. We don’t have much time to reverse this before we’re truly screwed.

Yes, and the Kenyan Clown will have the veto. Even if we manage to pass any good legislation, we won't have sufficient numbers in both houses to override any vetoes.
Our greatest strength will be to not fund odious programs for the next two years; however, many of the worst consequences of these two years of Democrat folly and madness require no funding.
Many family businesses have been and will be destroyed. Elections have consequences, and generations will pay for the folly of electing the Kenyan Clown and his circus.
I hope you're right, but the GOP is so flush with RINO's right now that I'm more than a little nervous. Just remember: November 2 is take out the trash day...including RINO's.

This is the scary part. The Publik seems to have done just that, except for a few of us. And most of them have no clue about just what is rapidly coming at them, starting in 2011.

You are correct to a point. I agree that the progressives think that this is their best chance for revolution. However I am encouraged by comparing 8/28 and 10/2. The vast difference in numbers and considering the fact that conservatives don’t usually go to protest meetings (there are 10 times as many who couldn’t go to 8/28 but still support it) and radical lefties ALWAYS go to protest meetings (after all either they don’t have real jobs or the unions paid them to be there) would suggest that the vast majority of America is against the radicals. Having said that I realize that it takes just a small amount of people to make a huge change.
Study the Russian Revolution, it started out as a general peasant uprising against the ruling class. It was co-opted by a small group of Communists. The rest, of course is history.
We cannot let up, we let our guard down after the Reagan revolution petered out. We conservatives are good at that, we are not professional activists like the lefties are, we are more concerned with raising families and makin’ a buck.
We must continue to educate ourselves and prepare (in many ways).
