There might be something to this. At least worth exploring.

Interesting that Steorn's own press releases don't mention this news. Sounds like a secondary scam by a third party based on the original scammers.

I do think it’s worth keeping an eye on.

The company has been making their free energy claim for over four years now — they have had some pr disasters (failed demo in London and a negative result from a jury of experts they assembled), but Steorn seems not to have been discouraged.

Of course skepticism is understandably very high with any such free energy claim — but I think this company is still interesting.

I will reserve judgment on this... they have opened their product up for development and outside testing.... they must be fairly confident that they are on to something

Right. The way the company is acting does not seem like they are perpetrating a scam — but of course caution is warranted.

Amazing. PT Barnum was correct. There is one born every minute!

Right. The way the company is acting does not seem like they are perpetrating a scam.

They expect at least 5000 people to pay the €399 fee in 2010, a cool €2.000.000 per year.

I wouldn't pay that amount of money: I'm sane. But I would sure like to get my hands on one of their devices, just to see how gullible the Steorn guys think their customers are.

Well if the response of early testers of this board is negative or even inconclusive, I doubt they will get anywhere near 5000 takers.

A positive response (i.e.) replication of the “Orbo effect” could lead to a large demand.
