Quoting the article ( I'm not accusing you of being liberal):

And before any liberal or Democrat reactionaries get their knickers all bent out of shape because this report comes from the National Enquirer, consider this. The Enquirer, today, is more reliable and less biased than the dishonest yellow journalism that passes as "news" from the major networks and the big papers like the New York Times. After all, while the aforementioned, mainstream media was concealing John Edwards’ scandalous, extramarital affair, only the National Enquirer diligently continued to report on it until the dishonorable Edwards finally had no choice but to admit his infidelity publicly. Thus, the track record of the Enquirer on big, political stories is actually quite solid. Just think of that, libs.

The link to the article was not working and led me to a blog that discussed the approval status of current TV shows. I see the author’s point and it may be true, but I don’t believe much of what I read unfortunately. However, I could believe that Michelle Obama threatened her husband with divorce if he sought a second term. She seems a haughty woman and probably enjoyed the elevated status his candidacy originally gave them. Given that Obama has sunk so low in the ratings, my guess would be that his wife could not take any uphill battle.
