James E. Clyburn (D-SC) is the only Congressman citizens of the Palmetto State's Sixth Congressional District have known since a contentious re-apportionment created the oddly shaped majority minority district in 1992. Here's how he describes the Sixth on his Congressional web site.
"The Sixth District contains five of the states six poorest counties and has the states lowest per capita income...home to inadequate public schools, high unemployment rates, widespread poverty and alarming rates of strokes, diabetes, and prostate cancer. Textile plants have closed... tobacco farmers ...have seen their livelihood evaporate...
The Sixth has suffered from decades of neglect. However, Congressman Clyburn is providing the leadership and vision to create a better future for all its residents."

If the "Sixth...has suffered from decades of neglect," the last 2 were at the hands of his "leadership and vision."
...What is the powerful Majority Whip doing to attract new businesses and hang onto the old?
"Congressman Clyburn has been a vocal advocate of improving these negative statistics by focusing on a brighter future for the Sixth District through transportation and tourism. He has established and secured funding for the James E. Clyburn Transportation, Research and Conference Center at South Carolina State University. This facility will enhance transportation infrastructure in South Carolina especially in rural areas. It will conduct research in alternative fuel sources, and educate transportation innovators of the future."
...What he didn't say is that he began securing funding for transportation related research and programs at the school in 1998. That's 12 years ago. So, why the dramatic increase in poverty and unemployment in SC's Sixth under his watch?
Maybe because the funding for the project stopped in 2006 when most of the 50 million dollars spent thus far could not be accounted for...

On the full article, I posted screen shots from SourceWatch.org, which show Mr. Clyburn’s BRIDGE PAC took in millions just in 2010, so far. I proposed he could use that money to help out his District, even if no one can track where the money is spent.
(I also posted a video named “Corridor of Shame” about the abysmal condition of education in the Sixth; but I don’t know how to embed on FR. Under Clyburn’s watch, the Sixth has also been renamed ‘corridor of shame.’)
King Fish still lives, and he is doing well in SC.
Has anyone checked Clyburn’s CBC scholarship recipients?
These people are on the Democrat “Plantation” they will never leave their Dem Masters.....
Maybe if enough people volunteer for Mr. Clyburn’s political opponents; and canvas the Sixth house-to-house armed with some of my columns about the Representative, or the FEC filings for BRIDGE PAC, and hand these out...
Interesting you should ask! He has already issued a sort of disclaimer, just in case...
Rep. Sanford Bishop of Georgia has recently been in hot water for awarding Congressional Black Caucus Foundation scholarships to relatives. Reps. Maxine Waters and Charlie Rangel are fighting ethics charges. Have any of these controversies affected voter trust?
I don’t think so. Emily is active with the CBC scholarship fund. I’m not. It’s a spouse’s organization. I’m told that the spouses gave eight or nine scholarship to kids in South Carolina. If my life depended on it, I could not tell you the names of those kids. Sanford did not know. Look, I’ve been investigated, I’ve been sued (as S.C. Human Affairs Commissioner). All of them were lies. To be fair, Charlie Rangel said ‘I will stipulate to this’ and signed the agreement. Under the ethics rules, there are eight people, four Democrats and four Republicans. Everybody must agree to whatever the settlement is. One of the Republicans refused to sign it. That’s why it’s still out there.”

Well quit voting for James Clyburn, ya idjits!
It’s worse than you think... I have one more piece on Clyburn in the works. This one points to the quid pro quo for using the race-baiting campaign in SC to put Obama in a position to steal the D nomination.
If these are under-informed voters; then given the fact, the money Clyburn is squandering is our money, we might need to fill in the information the lack thereof could account for this information deficit. Technologically challenged communities with no library - the video on my blog is worth 10 minutes of your time - might not even know how much they don’t know...
The Klan is proud of Clyburns work keeping the Blacks back in the last century.
Eddie Bernice Johnson didn’t use the ‘spouse’ dodge when she was caught.
Oops, guess she couldn’t, she’s divorced, so no one else to blame it on.
The ‘spouse’ connection is cute - double the opportunity for self-dealing.
It’s almost like, Clyburn knows he is about to go down; and he’s playing anticipatory defense. It would be funny; if it wasn’t our money, which could have done so much good in the Sixth.
