Barack Obama born in Kenya? Pah! If anything, he was born in Brussels. The policies his administration is pursuing amount to comprehensive Europeanisation: European carbon taxes, European foreign policy, European healthcare, European daycare, European disarmament, European industrial intervention and, inevitably, European unemployment rates....

I DO LOVE Daniel Hannan EXCEPT that he said he would have voted for Obama!!
Yes, I remember that. Didn’t he say that on GB? It makes absolutely ZERO sense....
I KNOW.....BUT I think he has changed his mind....I PRAY he has!!

I admit it: I was wrong to have supported Barack Obama

Hey...i LOVE Daniel Hannan!! He made a HUGE mistake saying he would support Obama~~
Well, I mean, lot of people on the right of the european political spectrum supported him, of course many of them would be considered liberals in the US.
I believe it was just a political calculation that made him do that, a calculation that makes perfect sense in Europe. The media in most european countries portray´s the Republicans as cowboy baffons at best, dangerous fanatics at the worst, and even though many on the right secretly admire them (and publicly for many brave ones, which incidentally includes him), many are ashamed to say it out loud.
I have heard people on the center right here claim the setup as it is now to be the best one, that is a democratic president, but a republican congress. I think though most of those people just do not quite get what is going on.
We don't have rulers. That's coming as a very rude surprise to those who think that they are. If you want a two-sentence summary of what's really going on in American politics at the moment, that's it.
