I have a bushmaster carbine. The last time I went to the range I was politely accused of cutting the barrel to an illegal length.

It also tends to be louder than the longer barrels which draws attention.

I would have just as politely told them that, “you have just accused me of a federal crime. You have three options,
prove it, withdraw the accusation & apologize, or draw.
I don’t care which.”

Some folks like to pretend they know more than they do and buy the latest and the most expensive toys to show they mean business. If they spent as much time shooting as reading all the magazines... Just shoot better than them, let the target do the talking.
