Yeah, I’m not sure what to make of it either. Maybe I’m giving this congresswoman too much credit, but it seems like it would take about 1 minute of analysis to figure out what a disaster it would turn into by inviting him - and letting him play his character to boot!

This is what makes me think she thought he was just an outspoken Republican - one who has a comedy show - but who is nonetheless expressing true Republican views - and she wanted his views seen by as many folks as possible, realizing it would be cycled over and over.

Mind-boggling how anyone like that gets elected to anything.

The Speaker of the House Pelosi said Colbert is an American and has a right to speak. Well Mrs. Pelosi, why don’t you feel the same way about the Tea Partiers? I guess only a select group of Americans (Hollywood, libs and ivy league grads) have the right to speak in your mind. Maybe you should read the Constitution before you ever get to reading the Healthcare Law.
