We don't need it to have legs. We need for it to have impact. Now.
We're ~6 weeks away from the mid-term elections, and this is an issue that - if it hits in a big way - could swing 6-8 House seats in the GOP's favor. If it turns out to be a close-run thing with the House, those seats could determine whether Issa is the Chairman and able to issue subponeas ... or ranking Minority member and able to complain loudly as the issue is backburnered.
The single best opportunity for it to have impact was yesterday with Coates' testimony. Instead everyone is talking about f*cking Colbert.
