When I was a kid we watched Popeye, Mighty Mouse and some other cartoons along with Sky King and Roy Rogers on many Saturday mornings. We also had to do housework. That didn't mean we didn't go out and play. We played a whole lot, had amazing imaginations and got tons of exercise and fresh air. Along with with making up all kinds of imaginative games we went swimming almost everyday during the summer, roller skated, went on bike rides, played sports games such as neighborhood baseball and football, tennis, volleyball, ping pong, badminton etc. We ice skated and made massive snowmen and snow forts in the winter. And just think, we did all of this without any input at all from the likes of M Obama.

It seems for dems they always go to extremes and love to dictate to others how to live their lives like they are the great intelligentsia and the rest of us are dodos. In truth they probably are druggies and do not know much at all concerning what is good vs. bad and often try to turn good into bad and bad into good but to cover up for their total lack they like to push on everyone else their idea of what is right so that they can convince themselves and us that they are the great morality dispensers. They lack discernment but love to think that they know everything. And to beat all they also love to tell us not to shove our morality down their throats. They really are quite predictable and completely nauseating.

Your childhood sounds alot like mine. Besides the programs you mentioned, we also watched Andy's Kids, Captain Midnight, Rin Tin Tin, Fury, Circus Boy, Super Circus, etc...all on a black and white TV. We played cowboys and indians and dodge ball, plus board games like Go to the Head of the Class, Clue, Monopoly, Sorry! and Parchesi. We also played checkers, Chinese checkers, along with outdoor games like hide and go seek, Red Light-Green Light, and Simon Says. That imagination thing worked well for us in our youth, and we enjoyed ourselves doing simple things.

On the weekends my mother would give us money to go to the local movie theater. Every so often they'd offer a Saturday cartoon marathon. Back then it cost us 15 cents to get in, and 10 cents for a box of popcorn. I'm glad I was a kid in the 50's. It was a time when you didn't lock your doors, and you knew everybody on your street.
