Just wondering if anyone else saw the premier of CSI this week? To me, the show's gone way downhill since Grissom left, (I really can't stand Lawrence Fishburne) but I tape it and watch when I can. I just watched the premier episode of the new season, and it sure looks and sounds to me like the MSM is engaging in over-the-top propaganda.
There, fixed it for you.
No Q about it. Clearly anti-Tea Party types. Loved the Bubba who had no ID in his wallet. And no idea, period. Just more Hollyweird insanity.
Sadly, Marg Helgenberger is looking long in the tooth. Maybe if I gave her some of my DNA it would rejuvenate her?
And what’s the “story with Sarah and Grissom’s marriage? She just up and left him?
"I really can't stand Lawrence Fishburne"You're just a homophobe. That's why you don't like Fishburne. Oh yeah, you're probably a racist too. /sarc
Sheesh, they are multiplying now.
I couldn’t stand it before becuase of Grissom’s mocking of all things religious while the show runners had no idea what real science was. The time he “solved” a boat mystery by “modelling” a complex estuary with a round pool and a fan was just the most hilarious of the scientific gaffes.
Now that they aren’t bashing christians so much, I guess they moved on to mainstream america. Hard to believe a TV show can survive making fun of over half the country though.
Who in this country has EVER blown up a police funeral (well, other than, say, the Weatherman that Obama hangs out with?)
Hawaii five-o didn’t seem terribly left-wing. And I can’t imagine Tom Sellack would be in anything overtly left-wing, but I haven’t seen his new show yet.
But those are probably the 1st two CBS shows I’ve watched or planned to watch in the past 5 years.
OK, I admit that when I’m already in the room and my daughter watches “How I Met Your Mother”, I watch it, and it is kind of left-wing but mostly just stupid.
Folks this is how it works. On producer and writers sites an announcement goes out for a prize (money) for the show that depicts a certain opinion or point of view integrated in their show during specific broadcast periods. So writers will write into plot lines some “Womens issue, Warming issues, or anti tea party issue” Then the writers, producer or director will submit their scene to the organizer and a winner determined. The advantage for the sponsor of the contest is that they get a propagandized view point during a specific broadcast or “election period”. This way you propagandize the people on many different shows without it looking like propaganda. Very powerful opinion shifting tool and most people have no idea it is happening.
I think you're projecting. :>)
I watch CSI, on and off. Now, it will be off.
Likewise, “Criminal Minds” premier last night showed the Emergency Alert System as a bureaucratic nightmare that was ultimately solved when the Secretary of DHS stepped in personally to cut through all the red tape and get the blonde access to the EAS. Never saw her, the name Napolitalo was never mentioned, but “Thank you, Madame Secretary, thank you!” was repeated several times.
Oh, puhleeeeze...
Colonel, USAFR
The one show I watch every week is on CBS...NCIS (the original..not the spinoff.) Good show, great characters, fun plots (Ralph Waite as Gibb’s father was a stroke of casting genius.) The ending to the season opener was amazing.
It was my understanding that Grissom was in France doing some obscure funding type thing and she didn't want to hang out and wait, therefore coming back to "help" when they were short handed.
SHe probably should have realized that she didn't really want to leave a popular series and suddenly missed the money coming in. She and the dude that plays Nick pulled some contract stunt a couple of years ago and nearly got booted then.
I prefer NCIS. In fact NCIS is the only current series I watch on TV. Much more conservative.
The pilot was excellent and refreshing. Let’s hope they don’t crap that up.
I agree - NCIS premier was great - more like it’s glory days. The last year or so it’s been a little wishy-washy but I loved the ending.
So, why not ~ CBS celebrates Ayers in its own way ~ an entire political movement made up of mad bombers ~ and all late Middle Aged and/or retired!
