I'd Rather Have A Can Of Pledge Than A GOP Pledge

Seconds on the crap sandwich, please...

The "Pledge To Recapture 1994 & Prove The Tea Partiers Aren't The Only Ones With Ideas" is still being debated by sincere, committed conservatives this morning. Frankly, I am deeply concerned for many of my friends who are obviously suffering from severe memory loss.

I have been asked countless times since yesterday afternoon what I would rather see. That's easy:

A pledge from John Boehner to relinquish any leadership role if the GOP regains the House in November.

Trust me, any giddiness conservatives may feel in November will quickly be gone by late January when they realize that a jellyfish is running point for them as Speaker of the House.

Michelle Malkin has a little memory jogger here, complete with a link to the roll-call vote for the first (pre-Obama) bail out vote. John Boehner and Eric Cantor, the two most recognizable faces during yesterday's made-for-TV distraction, were among the yes votes.

Because you are a blog pimping ignoramus. So much easier for you to get attention if you just mindlessly bitch about everything rather then bothering to take the time to actually READ the document.

It’s better than the “I will dismantle America” pledge Obama had in 2008

The seeds of failure germinate in every heart that plans to sit back and wait for something magical to grow out of the pledge. Its not perfect but it is a starting point.

The tea parties have only prepared the field for tilling and harvest is decades of hard work away.

Lets git r done.

Go read the Michelle Malkin link. She raises a good point. How do we really know that Boehner et al. won’t jump like a frog on a hot plate the next time that the banksters come yelling for more taxpayer guarantees?

That will happen if we let it happen. The time for the tea parties to fade away is not yet here.

We don’t but this is a different ball game. More and more people are paying attention. He will be presiding over the demise of the Republican party if he is playing games.

People who think we can sit back and wait for congress to do these things have already lost.

You’re a glass half-empty kind of guy, aren’t you?
I think politicians are beginning to grasp that we conservatives view this November as merely a battle, not an end to the war.
And with elections once again coming up in 2 years, we’re not going away any time soon.

Most “leaders” (politicians) are actually just followers. They follow where the voters lead, where the activists lead, where the the lobbyists lead, where the noisemakers lead.

Let’s make more noise, more loudly, more often, and more convincingly than the anti-Constitutionalists. If we keep that up for about a century, we should be able to undo most of the damage caused since 1913.

John Boehner and Eric Cantor, the two most recognizable faces during yesterday's made-for-TV distraction, were among the yes votes.

Whether the financial crisis of September 16, 2008, was a scheme or the natural result of derivatives run amok it was presented by Bernake and Paulson as something that had to be addressed immediately with a massive infusion of cash in order to prevent global financial destruction. It could not wait, they said, so there was no time for verification or reflection, just action.

Maybe the Republicans were had by the Democrats and international Marxists but that was the situation at the time.

I wouldn't hold that against anyone in today's climate. Are you going to toss conservatives in favor of those who probably created the hoax, if there was one?

Yes, even if we win elections this round, we have to win next round before we will really see a difference. All we can hope for now is blocking more damage. Rinos won’t let us repeal health care. All we might be able to do is block funding for it but Rinos will fight us over that, too.

Yes. Many of those 'consrvatives' no longer are, being co-opted by those who created the chaos. Hence, it is simply a necessary component of cleaning house. We need some additional items in the pledge. (1) Restoration of Constitutional Enumerated Powers ONLY. (2) Revocation of ALL agencies which clearly exceed those powers. Dept Education, DOE, EPA, OSHA, FDA, Housing, etc. (3) Revocation of all Obama appointments, with prosecution of any and all for violations of Clause (1). (4) Impeachment of all judges who have violated the Constitution and essentially destroyed it in conjunction with their schemes to foment their Communist 'progressive' agenda. (5) Immediate open Congressional investigations into all Obama secret dialogues with the foreign enemies of our nation. (6) Immediate open Congressional investigations into the Eligibility Issue. Demanding immediate turnover of the concealed documents that have been suppressed by his agents. (7z) Immediate legislation to require that eligibility must be proven both at state level and in Federal Courts, and any citizen automatically has "standing" to sue for such. And our military also granted amnesty for refusal to deploy if such chain of command issues are not proven.(8) Cut all funding for further trips of Air Force One and Two, and al Marine One helicopters. Lock the "one" into the White House...which he and Michelle obviously hates.(9) Require Deployment of a sufficiently large portion of the Army to Southern Border and then DECLARE WAR against the Drug Cartels and then invade to clean house. (10) Deploy Navy against Venezuela and recover the "nationalized" oil rigs. (10 Revoke all foreign aid for foreign oil exploration and production, adn divert to U.S. (11) Open ANWR to exploration. (12) Sell back all lands made national park over last two decades. (13) End China's Most Favored Nation Status.
