Most people don’t understand the “Muslim Name” thing. I’m not sure that I do. I’ve heard the arguments. If a Christian wants to call himself Muhammed just to be a rebel, that person is still a Christian.
The point that I try to make with people when the Obama / Muslim thing comes up is that it’s fairly clear that Obama was a Muslim. His dad was a Muslim. That made him a Muslim to Muslims. His school forms have Islam on them. There really isn’t too much relevance to my argument of the name.
The argument about the name is we most certainly can say it, it’s not on his parents because he picked it.
If he was truly a Christian as he professes, why would he continue on with a muslim name?
Muslims want to exterminate christians and jews.
He speaks of muslim religous traditions with great respect.
He speaks arabic with perfect dialect.
He claims that the call to prayer in arabic is the most beautiful sound on earth.
He gave his first interview to al jazeera.
He bowed to the saudis
He ignores Christmas and Easter
He hosted a islamic something or other at the White House.
He is supporting the victory mosque in NYC.
He buzzed NYC with his big ass blue plane, AF1
He has claimed that if the political winds get ugly, he will side with the muslims.
But he’s not a muslim.
QUIT PEEING ON MY LEG AND TELLING ME IT’S RAIN.
And I would say “Dude - I totally get it - he is a Christian” -
Except then we run into the “Christian who atends Church 3 times in 18 months” and “Christian who attended Rev Writght’s church” -
So - ya - cool - some real Christian guy wants to get back at Dad - so takes a Muslim name (no wait - Dad is a Muslim) he wants to rebel against the man (so he goes to Harvard Law)- so Christian dude, who rarely attends Church, and when he does it is with a racist who brings the Lord’s name in vain - etc.
Sometimes - the simple answer just fits.
Yeah - though - he could be the one Christian guy who took a Muslim name when he wasn’t converting to islam, and is so Christain that he rarely attends Church. etc.
I just don’t think he is the one Christian guy who chose God, and celebrated by changing his name to Muslim. Not buying it.
