Hagar was Ishmael mother, Ishtar is the Assyrian and Babylonian counterpart to the Semitic goddess Astarte.

Hagar was Sarah’s servant and Ishmael’s mother Ishtar was a pagan Babylonian goddess.

Yeah, that Hagar bastid was responsible for Van Halen splitting up, and worse, for Roth's solo career. I'll never forgive him.
And this guy wasn't much better...
Seriously, though - Hagar was part of God's plan.
It was as much Abraham & Sarah's fault, for being impatient, as it was Hagar's fault for giving birth to the "wild ass of a man".

Arius, from whose perversion of Christianity Mohammed came.
But careful folks...
From the ancient liturgies: “O necessary sin of Adam, which gained for us so great a Redeemer!”

I hated Moby Dick. But then, I was only in HIgh School. It wasn’t nearly as bad as “Billy Budd.”

Gee it took 160 posts before the first Lost Causer showed up. I would have expected y'all sooner.
Picture a U.S. with no Republican party. Where slavery lasted for generations longer. Where industrialization was suppressed in favor of plantation agriculture. Where the Wilson's and the Bryan's and the other progressives of the Democratic Party were free to implement their Socialistic policies unopposed by any serious political party. You would still have had your FDR and your LBJ. But would you have had your TR and your Ronald Reagan?

no Russian Revolution or USSR without Lenin, at least not likely in the form it took Russia was rebelling before Lenin. They would have rebelled without him. Someone else would have stepped up - Trotsky maybe. Or Stalin. Imperial ineptness and the unpopular war would have still seen to that.

The Archduke Ferdinand II ... there would have been a possible delay, or negation, of World War 1. That would have made ‘the Bohemian corporal’ ineffectual, dispelled any of those ‘holy moments’, where he would have been spared death in war, which he wrote about in Mein Kampf, which would be demoted to ‘another human’s journal of life.;

OK, I've read through the first couple hundred choices.
I gotta say--no one.
Without Hitler, we'd have no Israel. Without Mohammad, we'd have no force against Israel. Same with Marx and Russia (they're backing the ME in the fight against Israel).
Without FDR, we wouldn't have Zer0, and his abandonment of Israel.
Israel is about to be alone in the world, and The Return is imminent.
