The Atlanta Department of Watershed Management is a hot mess. Home owners have been opening their mail and finding $5000 bills. It took me two years to convince the City what meter supplied my office building and get the right bill. I’ve never really had a problem with penalties but they are cracking down on inspection fees and such. In fact, the whole city government has slowed to a crawl except the revenue police. They have guys that just go from building to building making sure every company has a current business license and that it is properly posted.

I meant the city of Atlanta itself has huge fines and penalties (not the customers, although I’m sure these costs are passed along).

I hadn’t heard about stuff going on with the customers.

And isn’t there some mess with Lanier and the oyster beds in Alabama?

What a boondoggle.

I am very happy with my rural water company.

You’re right in that Barnes seems clueless as to what the average Joe wants to hear right now. “long term solutions” for Atlanta’s water woes sure don’t help in the short term, and don’t do much for the rest of the state.

It’s kind of like his “join Barne’s mailing list and get in the drawing for Ga. Tech football tickets” considering how many Bulldawg fans there are in this state! LOL
