Nobody has better standing than we the citizens. How could they deny us???

You can argue we haven’t standing. You see We the People have sold the country, literally, to the Ruling Class elite.
In the USA, the income tax is a “progressive tax” ; in the setting of taxes, “progressive taxation” means the rich pay more. In the USA, LOTS more.

Basically the top one percent of income earners in the USA pay 40% of the income tax, the top 5% pay 60%, the top 10% pays 70%.
The top 10% of wage earners....basically those whose children attend the Ivy League, have managed, through several generations of progressive taxation, to “buy” the country. The rich, people who have money to buy almost anything they want, can only buy a country through progressive taxation. That is why they are for it.
Arguably, only those in that class may have “standing” to question the credentials of the Ruling Class’ chosen leader for the 2008 election cycle. But its pretty clear at this point, We the People do NOT have standing.
