... remember the San Francisco cabbie who got sued for chasing down a criminal in his cab -- and instead of being called a good Samaritan, lost in court? Well, here it is again. And Arizona rancher got fed up that is land was being invaded by illegals, so he set up surveillance cameras and caught a big group of them, and held them for immigration and turn them over to immigration -- so, of course, this being America, he was sued by the immigrants because he was so mean to them and yes, they won in court and he lost.
Amazing. The Fall the Republic.... the end of America as we know it.

Justice done? Decision of the court should stand? The Department of Justice's immigration services should do their job?
Catching illegal immigrants on your own land is now an offense, something you can get sued for?

What can they do if he doesn’t pay?
Once these illegals are on your land now they can use your property anyway they see fit and you will be fined or jailed if you try to expel them.

In Arizona, you can perform a citizen's arrest if you witness a probable felony. Simple trespass is not a felony - they have to be engaged in defiant trespass if they refuse to leave, or if they are breaking into a building.
And being here illegally is not a de facto felony either - you have to be here after a previous deportation for it to rise to a felony, and you have no way in looking at a group of illegals if they have been here already.
Its a court so they can force him to do so by court order, if he refuses he can be jailed and his assets can be seized if the court wishes to pursue it.
And, I'll bet a nice shiny silver dollar there is enough pro illegals in the court system to "make an example" of someone like this poor rancher who tried to do the job our government refuses to do!

Our whole country should be ashamed that the owners of these near the border land plots need to become their own law enforcement. In my NH town folks would go bonkers if there were three BE’s in a month, extra patrols would be ordered, police budgets would go up, pols would run on an anti-crime platform. This is an abomination. Iran catches two drifters, immediately imprisons them and we’re all waiting for news of a beheading. And then this happens in our own country. AZ needs to go rogue, a lot more drastic than just a senate bill. Obama’s worried about mid-east peace ? How about Tuscon peace.
