O U R B O A R D O F T R U S T E E S (Whom O'Donnell sued; is this why Rove offended?)

SI was established in 1953 to convey to successive generations of college youth an appreciation for the values and institutions that sustain a free and virtuous society. In two articles appearing in the early 1950s, ISI's founder Frank Chodorov outlined "a fifty-year project" to reform the university and society in favor of freedom. Chodorov chose a celebrated Yale University graduate, William F. Buckley Jr., to be ISI's first president. With the success of God and Man at Yale and the founding of the National Review soon after, Buckley later relinquished the position of president to Chodorov himself.

KEYWORDS: odonnell; rove
I don't know, just guessing she offended some pretty venerable conservatives; Rove may be defending the honor of his mentors. The lawsuit was dropped, as I understand it.

Whatever, if this is it, he needs to move on. I’m amazed at how little commentary is directed at the fact that a vote for O’Donnell was a vote against Obama; a vote for Castle, not so much.

Where is Rove, anyway? Licking his wounds? Wishing he never got out of bed yesterday?

What can he do now except apologize?

He MUST apologize.

Those who float to the top are usually the politicians who increase their own power. Those who endorse individual liberties face attacks from power brokers in the republicaan party and attack exxperts in the ‘Rat pwrty.

What was she suing them over?

Dwellin on O’Donnell’s actions here do not put her in the best light. She was fired by ISI because she was too active on a side project that detracted from her work. She decided to sue over her treatment, when in fact the organization, ISI, is a good conservative organization that gave her employment for some time. She had a weak case and dwelling on it only inflames intramural fighting. She wisely dropped the case and moved on.

We should do the same.

My mentor used to say, “Tommy, everyone burns their toast occasionally. EVERYONE!” I’m sure Rove is not exempt from that, because I think he burned his toast pretty bad Tuesday evening. I heard him on with Greta tonite explaining why he did what he did, and for my money he didn’t manage to scrape much of the char off his toast. He sounded almost like Slick Willie.

Yes; Christine needs to brush up her act a little and make some things right; but let’s face it; even if Castle had all his bills and taxes right up to snuff, he still is a RINO turncoat who would be no real good to America if he got reelected. He’s totally undependable as a conservative common sense vote. I cannot understand how Rove doesn’t comprehend that; and I’m still kind of torqued at him, too. I’ll still take my chances with O’Donnell.

He was on with Greta this evening and he did not apologize. He did his best to explain away what he did, but he was NOT contrite about it.

>>He MUST apologize.<<

He was actually on Greta tonight spewing the same vile. He’s still trying to vindicate himself. He hasn’t even seen the paperwork that O’Donnell has up that proves he’s wrong. That the IRS actually sent O’Donnell a letter apologizing that a computer error was to blame for the tax deal etc.

Rove has been a disaster for the GOP. He helped lose control over Congress. He pushed amnesty over the opposition of most of the GOP and he branded those opposed as nativists and bigots. Rove revealed his true colors last night. He has no credibility. Rove is a legend in his own mind.

Obviously Rove is blissfully unaware that a huge number of Obama staff people owe back taxes.

Question: Does it matter at all whether conservatives have integrity? It doesn’t seem to matter to the reflexive defenders of O’Donnell.

I wish we could get someone as conservative as her on the ballot in every state, and that we’d never have candidates who so lack integrity and ethics as she does. Seriously, read up on the details of her “mental anguish” lawsuit. The Democrats are reading it and salivating.

Very few people here, her supporters, have much of an idea of what exactly the last 20 years of her life really looked like.

Apparently, she started 20 or so years ago in DC at the RNC.
Headquarters apparently? She could’a pissed someone off there? And then over the course of the years she did a bunch of stuff, nothing that sticks out much more than the others. She went on TV a lot, back in the day, and all through the years. She was a religious conservative then for the most part, apparently. I’m not looking at her resume now, I’ve never seen it. But starting in the early 90s she’s met a very wide number of people. A lot of people know her and have known her since she was in her early 20s.

Nor successful. He reminded me of a dancing dog, it really danced well, but it was still a dog. I enjoyed his tap-dancing... And the numbers he was throwing out, man's got a head for numbers but not much sense.

Off topic, but I was surprised to learn that she is 41. She could easily pass for her late 20s, early 30s at least.
