That’s good to know, fatima. Thank you so much.

Saw this one coming. Good luck to you. I appreciated your thoughtful posts. The name-calling is getting to be pretty discouraging.

Thanks for the heads-up. Your probably right about being asleep.
Hope she's back... Us military families value her input!

IMHO everyone should probably brace yourselves for more of this sort of thing in the run-up to 2012.
Especially if the Tea Party is ascendant.
There is in fact a very stubborn, “elite” in the GOP. They include the people around Bush43, and Bush41. Many are serious people we have come to respect.
But they are also. Part of the problem now, that they have positioned themselves as gatekeepers, to keep out the sort of people who won so big yesterday.
This poster respects and is sorry to see JVeritas decide to leave. Perhaps it is related in some way, to mosques and korans.
If so, this poster asks only that JV think about why there has been a push-back on this forum against the mosque at GZ, and the rest:
Because THE ENTIRE REST OF OUR MEDIA IS TRYING TO FORCE IT ON US.
FR pushes back.
Sometimes against things we hold dear. The freedom to do so, and the exchange of real ideas, makes that worthwhile.
This poster hopes that, upon some reflection, JVeritas will return.
Even when I disagree with him, I’ll think so.
Sorry to read this thread, on an otherwise fabulous day in our nation.

This is nothing but a temper tantrum.
If you don’t want to be here, all you had to do is not come back.
You’re just like most of the “attempted” suicides: all done to get people to beg you to stay.
Don’t let the door bruise your toucas.

"In Greek mythology, a harpy ("snatcher", from Latin: harpeia, originating in Greek: ἅρπυια, harpūia) was one of the winged spirits best known for constantly stealing all food from Phineas. The literal meaning of the word seems to be "that which snatches" as it comes from the ancient Greek word harpazein (ἁρπάζειν), which means "to snatch".
"The term is often used metaphorically to refer to a nasty or annoying woman. In Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing, Benedick spots the sharp-tongued Beatrice approaching, and exclaims to the Prince, Don Pedro, that he would rather do an assortment of arduous tasks for him 'rather than hold three words conference with this harpy!'"

Ha, no, you never mentioned it. You know why I chose Scythian? I studied Greek for two years and my Greek teacher, when he came to Scythian (as mentioned in the bible) stated that the mention of them was very important, because there were the Barbarians and then there were the Scythians, and Scythians were the Barbarians to the Barbarians.
And then he said, Christ's work on the the Cross was extended "even unto the Scythian" and it took my breath away, showing the depth and reach of the Cross. It was a very moving moment for me, that Christ could save and love the worst of humanity, then he could Love me. I never forgot it.
Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

I regretted that as soon as I sent it...I'm in a merciful mood tonight.
Actually, it wouldn't be appropriate to post HT in this opus thread.
