Karl Rove -Sean Hannity, Discussing Christine O'Donnell + 2010 Election
We should call up Pastor Jones and have him burn a few copies of that instead.
Shes a very risky, seriously flawed candidate. Im not shedding any tears for Mike Castle, but that doesnt mean ODonnell doesnt have HUGE question marks...
All of the RINO-this and RINO-that on this board wont change that. I hope she wins, but dont think she will. Her democrat opponent is delighted.
It seems like shes already been caught in several misstatements about her past (Ill refrain from using the more inflammatory term for that), and she comes across as not a particularly serious person.
And people on this board are ready to string Karl Rove up because hes not as excited as they are that weve just seen an almost guaranteed R flip to a likely D. Mike Castle was pretty unreliable as a conservative, but now hell be replaced by an Obama rubber-stamp.
Again, we can argue about the relative trade-offs, sending messages, etc., but, gee-whiz, give Karl Rove a break! In his explanation of his concerns, he validated every Tea Party-inspired upset of establishment candidates except for this one, and his reservations about this woman are neither uncommon nor unreasonable. If we end up losing the Senate by a seat or two, its going to be pretty depressing to know that Castle was a gimme...
In any event, ODonnell needs to get her story straight sooner rather than later, and lay-off the people-might-be-hiding-in-my-bushes crap (doesnt really sound like a winning political argument to me...)
He lost me when he called Christines win inexplicable...Hey Karl it's now apparent all that "new tone" bullshit you preached was just to protect your Democrat buddies.
Sooner or later frauds always expose themselves.
I saw this exchange. Rove made me sick. He shouold just keep his mouth shut and save hir wrath for the rats.
There’s much to fault Bush for, but he’s not responsible for zero. The dumbass voters are.
ditto
Wonder if Rove will ever sub for Rush again. The architect of the shrub and his compassionate Conservatism BS. Both Bush’s are RINOS and that is the truth of the matter. I am glad to see that Rush admitted to carrying their water for so long and refuses to do so now. I am glad Rush got behind O’Donnell and that she ran and one. God Bless her.
But, there seems to be solid concerns.
Even Krauthammer has expressed dismay over O'Connell: Krauthammer: Voting for ODonnell is Self-Indulgent and Irresponsible http://www.breitbart.tv/krauthammer-voting-for-odonnell-is-self-indulgent-and-irresponsible/
We all get it. It ain’t rocket science. What you appear NOT to get is that Rove should not have been on camera speaking that way about a newly nominated pub candidate no matter WHAT he thinks of her. Unless O’Donnell is a felon, he should have kept his mouth shut.
It is not helpful to the party, the constituency nor to individual candidates for the party leaders to be on the airwaves badmouthing another party member, particularly a candidate and PARTICULARLY by claiming she or he can’t win.
The reason is that Christine is or was poor. She couldn’t pay her bills. That means she’s not in their league - doesn’t run in their circles. She’s not an insider and she’s not a member of the DC club.
Dana and Karl can kiss my ass.
PMSDNC will play it over and over for the next 7 weeks.
Rove gave Coontz a wonderful TV commercial to loop over and over and over again during the campaign.
agreed.
I am late to this party but is O’Donnel honest? Seems there is a lot of smoke around her. Is she using campaign funds to pay her bills? Did she sue someone over a discrimination issue? Is she serious?
Angle was ahead of Reid; now she’s behind. That’s a seat we should have walked away with.
The point is, Rove has a point. He just should have kept it to himself or presented it in a much more positive light.
I guess Miss Dana, the dainty, lovely, sweet-smiling, delicate, petite blonde sprite, is a bit of pit viper when she doesn’t get her way. She showed a really ugly side.
Maybe, just maybe Roves thinking if he says O’Donnell is the worst candidate, the moonbat libs, who despise Rove will go ahead and vote for her out of malice.
Rove should have kept his mouth shut, that’s the point - not O’Donnell’s problems.
WE DON’T NEED OTHER PUBS DOWNGRADING OUR NOMINEES!!!!!!!!!! ROVE AND THE OTHER PARTY “LEADERS” ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ON OUR SIDE!!!!
IT AIN’T AS THOUGH O’DONNELL IS A FELON LIKE RANGEL, YET YOU DON’T SEE RATS OUT BADMOUTHING RANGEL. GET IT??
The bottom line is that the DE GOP should have come up with better candidates than both of them. Neither candidate was particularly attractive for very different reasons.
Did you have a better choice?
Apparently, some of you here are closet RINOs and would have been perfectly content having RINO Castle keep his job, huh?
Idiots and idiocy....=.=
Rush thinks she can win the general
Rove and the rest of the RINO establishment have been pushing the lie that “only a RINO can win” in New England, the west coast, and elsewhere for years. Despite the fact that the RINOs they saddle us with never win anyways. Instead, the ensure that the most liberal politicians in the country get elected.
If a real conservative ever got the chance to run, then the RINOs’ lie is in danger of being exposed. Usually the RINOs don’t need to worry about that since they always get their weak, hand picked candidates nominated.
But O’Donnell provides the first real challenge in a long time to the RINO narrative. If she does as well, or better, than the RINO candidates that usually run and lose, then the RINOs’ jig will finally be up. Their Henny Penny act will no longer work to keep Republican voters on the RINO reservation. That is why Rove and Cornyn and Michael Steal will stop at nothing to destroy her, even after winning the GOP nomination. They need to poison the well and do all they can to make her do as poorly as possible in November, to protect their turf. They cannot afford the possibility of her outperforming the RINOs they’ve been selling as the “best shot we have” since the Ford administration. Funny that the one presidential candidate they said had no chance — was too radical, too conservative to carry New England and the west coast — Ronald Reagan — was the last Republican to carry them all!
