There was a rare chance for some bipartisanship mixed with some sincere debate in Washington next week when a defense policy bill will be taken up by the Senate. This type of bill usually passes with plenty of support from both sides of the aisle but the inclusion of the repeal of the military's 'don't ask, don't tell' policy left open some uncertainty as that important and relative issue is to be debated and hopefully resolved. But just to make sure that chaos ensued and in a desperate attempt to put politics over doing his actual job, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) says he will insert a controversial immigration measure into the bill.

So if the Republicans oppose this they will continued to be branded the party of No. Clever Harry.
He probably did it for himself. He’s trying to fire up the illegals in Nevada to vote for him by trying to convince them there’s “no way” anyone will refuse to vote for a Defense Funding Bill.
Nothing screams “Democrat!” quite like a bill that puts homosexuals and foreign nationals ahead of the military and American college students—all on the tab of the American tax payer.
This DREAM act actually gives foreign nationals an advantage over American college students, as they can pretty much squat anywhere and call it home to get in-state tuition.
I hope there’s not a single Republican who supports this nonsense.
