But, in his parlance it is a success.
He’s wasting American muscle, might, and money on do nothing projects for foreign countries [exporting the batteries?] instead of investing it in actual useful American growth.
Hence, “success.”
If it hurts America, he’s all for it.
So affordable for all those unemployed people.
Yep, let's kick things off with a 100 mile battery to replace a 500 mile fuel tank.
Now that's what I calll puttin it in reverse.
Why not give them away for free? It just takes an hour or two of running the presses to print the money........
Yep, let’s kick things off with a 100 mile battery to replace a 500 mile fuel tank.

That costs twice as much as the car with the 500 mile fuel tank!

I believe that this is the same Factory that was supplying the government with $250 hammers and $600 toilet seats...
Yes yes-
Photo ops at the local wind generator, green battery plant, or organic farmer.........
I want to hurl.
“although stimulus money could bring that down to $10,000 by the end of 2015.”
The energizer bunny wants a piece of that action. He has been working for minimum wage all these years.
This charging station for the Nissan Leaf costs $2200, half of which will be subsidized by our tax dollars. Here is Nissan's professional installation ticket:
Need two cars? You might need an electrical sub panel installed.
The dope does not even know what $33,000 is. Soon the government will own a warehouse full of batteries that nobody wants, and a special permit from the EPA to scrap them all in order to manufacture more. His speechwriters think this is a good thing. Cripes.
History
Founded in 2001, A123Systems proprietary Nanophosphate technology is built on a new nanoscale materials initially developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. A123Systems is now one of the worlds leading suppliers of high-power lithium ion batteries designed to deliver a new combination of power, safety and life.
Can’t wait to see the energy balance analysis on these batteries and cars.
Well, I suppose it makes bikes all the more attractive and that must be what he wants. When I was in Africa almost everyone was on a bike. And the Dr I had to see had a completely empty office, except for his bare desk, and a single copy of an old British medical reference book that he had to spend a lot of time thumbing through. And their “pharmacy” had a dirt floor and they gave me pills in a brown paper bag.
Yeah, this must be what zero wants to us...so the world will like us more and he’ll take credit for that.
What the aich-eee-double-hockey-sticks does that mean??? That we'll spot the plant working capital until economies of scale drop the cost or that we'll subsidize $22k of the cost for each battery sold - to foreigners, no less!
Damn, each battery sold could represent one job lost elsewhere in the economy considering opportunity costs.
