I don’t know where to begin with this one. We must certainly live in a society of total affluence, if the First Lady goes on record begging restaurants to offer apple slices as a side dish on a kid menu. This is inferring that kids eat out regularly in restaurants, not just McDonalds. Also, who in the world is Michelle Obama to tell a chef to use low fat milk in his cream sauces. Spokesmen for the government, i.e. Mrs. Obama, have no right to dictate what a restaurant should and should not serve. How dare she?

Most fast-food places already offer apple slices as a side for kids meals. I guess when you make $400,000 at a do-nothing job or live in the executive mansion you lose track of what McDonalds and Wendys are up to with their menu.

Of all the issues the Flotus could have addressed it does seem this was the least which would create hot buttons. I really don’t think they want her speaking much on anything of real importance.....keeping her in the kitchen seems to be the way to go that is safe for the party...otherwise they have to constantly pick up after her outspokeness and the firestorms she ignites.

In some ways I wish they’d let her out of her pen.... she could do alot of damage to their party and Bo.
