I am here at Blogcon 2010 at the Sheraton Crystal City in the environs of Washington D.C. The event is being sponsored by Freedom Works and spearheaded by the indefatigable Tabitha Hale.
This is the first time that I know of that some of the biggest names in center-right blogging have gotten together to mingle and meet. (With no attempt to be an extensive list and in no particular order) We have Stephen Kruiser, GatewayPundits Jim Hoft, Lee Doren, Mary Katherine Ham, Melissa Clouthier, John Hawkins, Matt Lewis, Jason Mattera, Steve Green, Scott Ott of Scrappleface
too many to name, really.

What a great conference. Lots of big names in the conservative blogosphere.

I guess I need to spend more time here cuz I do not recognize any of these names...pictured or not...
Somehow I will manage to go on, though...

I thought that they changed it to FurCon 2010? One of the many popular activities will include the stick-bundling contest.

Good grief....that's just freakin' demented. {shudder!}
I'd love to sit on the sidelines and watch one of these things.
For a minute or so.
Kind of like that trainwreck thing...

Hey, I was thinking that if we went, we’d have to go in disguise, but if everyone has to go furry, they’d never know whether we were there or not.
For me, that would be not anyway.

If they would just have these things during the full moon
phase, I could be properly attired with no prep at all. Pity.

I'll go as a lion. No mane. I'm a girl.
Just come up to me and say "The platypus is parboiled," and I'll know it's you.

Cool disguise, gunner. Can’t wait to see it.
This is getting to be fun. Passwords, lions, werewolves!
Maybe I’ll go as a great ape. I got the knuckle-dragging, the widow’s hump, and the 800 pounds down pat.
“The platypus is parboiled,”
“The platypus is parboiled,”
“The platypus is parboiled,”
“The platypus is parboiled,”
“The parybus is platapolked,”
Oh, hell.
