Palin:Koran Burning Is Insensitive, Unnecessary; Pastor Jones, Please Stand Down
Facebook ^ | 9/8/10 | Sarah Palin

Book burning is antithetical to American ideals. People have a constitutional right to burn a Koran if they want to, but doing so is insensitive and an unnecessary provocation – much like building a mosque at Ground Zero.

ANN COULTER

The reason not to burn Qurans is that it's unkind -- not to jihadists, but to Muslims who mean us no harm. The same goes for building a mosque at ground zero -- in both cases, it's not a question of anyone's "rights," it's just a nasty thing to do.

The statement is entirely valid.

If we appease them and do not burn any books, what is next? That is the question.

That preacher burns the Koran and some crazy jihadi sets off a car bomb in retaliation.

I am still wondering who burned a koran on 09/10/2001 or before. Heck, I don't think koran-burning was a popular sport in the US prior to 9/11, or in all the years since 1785 when muslim terrorists first started attacking, murdering and enslaving US citizens.

But I thought Palin was from the “extreme right,” and her supporters were supposed to go for something like Koran burning?

Guess the stereotype is completely wrong. It confuses the progressive mind to the point of insanity.

Wonder where we would be now if we had been worried about the way Germans and Japanese were portrayed in frickin’ COMIC BOOKS during World War II?

You are conflating 2 different scenarios. When Christ drove out the money changers, He did so because they were perverting the worship of God, turning it into a money-making enterprise. It had nothing to do with the “religious goods”.

Also, I don’t remember claiming that God would smite this pastor for his actions. I merely said this is a poor witness of the message of Christ to the world. God can deal with his soul - that is above my paygrade...

Sure. Human sacrifice is in. Unless you are the sacrifice. I can see why Liberals are attracted to Islam. Liberals are like abused women who like it.

Look at my tagline. I KNOW THAT. I also think that battling Islam is a very important duty of every free man and woman.

I also believe that THIS attack on Islam is stupid and counterproductive and is going to hurt not only innocent Christians (and most likely persons practicing other faiths) it is going to be grist for the Islamic propaganda mill for months to come.

Resist Islam? Hell yes! But do it intelligently.

Then God bless them, but they are in danger nevertheless simply for what they do.

True. I just don't think we have to go out of our way to make it MORE dangerous for them.

So the muslims should go ahead a build the mosque on ground zero? they have a right to despite the pain and insensitivity feelings and more harm of not only the 9/11 families but on everyone? .......we are talking about a Christian minister who can still point out the evils and wrongs of Islam without resorting to childish antics?

Yes, Jesus was fierce for the truth. But show me anywhere that this kind of action is even implied as being the way to reach the lost? Jesus hated sin, but loved sinners. He ate with prostitutes and tax collectors. He never approved of their sin, but though love won their hearts and souls. So tell me how this displays the love of Christ, and I will shut up.

My point is that there are things people do every moment of every day that makes it dangerous for them, and likely if the media chooses to bring it up, they will be in danger. We cannot do much about that. I think you should take it up with the media.

Or think that if they show enough love, that they’ll magically change. The problem is that Muslims seem to have this defect that shuts off their ability to open up and give and receive genuine love. Libs also fantasize about being the elite in the event that Communism takes over.
