The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool is probably resident.

Click Start > Run and type mrt. The short scan takes minutes and the long one hours so you likely want to choose the short scan first.

Just checked ‘search programs’ by typing ‘mrt’. Yes, it’s there, I clicked it and was asked if I want to run it. Running Windows 7. I like it.

I run Microsoft Security Essentials. I like it. I haven’t had a single problem.
