I’m out of it now, rodguy. I left NY 8 yrs ago and moved inland. I’ve been a fisherman all my life (see my FReeper name) I’m also a birder. I once went on a plover count with “members” of the Audubon Society in Gateway National Seashore at Ft. Tilden back in the early 90’s. The idiot they had me teamed up with spent the entire day scoping out the nude beach with his binocs and drinking wine with another pair of “members” who were supposed to be out by Breezy Pt. At the end of the day we returned to the office at the Jamaica Bay bird sanctuary where these jerks submitted totally made-up counts. I raised holy hell over these ficticious counts but was ignored since I was not a member of the society.

It's my understanding that these birds used to nest on the other side of the road(the sound side) and now for some reason are on the Beach side instead of the Sound side. How would you like your future and the future of your kids tied to where a group of birds decide to fly next!!
