Anyone know of a good product to remove religious smarminess from a computer monitor?

Accepting Jesus as your Savior helps.

Amy Grant? What’s wrong with her?

Is this guy upset because she had some crossover music?

That’s the whole point these guys miss. It’s better if some people of good character get into the secular music business and be salt and light instead of saying that Christian musicians can only sing hymns in church.

Done that

A product that works on religious smarminess AND religious judgmentalism would be GREAT!

Let’s not use any sort of religious judgment, then?

Look into that story a little more to see what happened.

Oh Amy Grant, what have you become?

Listen to Amy when she received her Hollywood Walk Of Fame Award http://defendingcontending.com/2007/12/18/oh-amy-grant-what-have-you-become/

Liberals are in good company with Conservatives who hate Christ’s commands.

In 1998 Amy left her husband of 16 years, Gary Chapman. Gary literally got on his knees and begged Amy to stay. In June 1999, Amy divorced Gary. And quickly, in March 2000, Amy married country star Vince Gill. In 1996, Vince’s wife Janis found a note—”I love you, Amy”—in his golf bag. (People, Nov. 29, 1999), As early as 1994, Amy told Gary,

“. . . I’ve given my heart to another man.” (CCM, January 2000, p. 36)

Whoa! I am completely out of touch on this kind of stuff.

Given the track record of some of these guys in Christian music Katy might not be any different if she were in Christian music instead of mainstream music.

That’s funny coming from somebody being smarmy and judgmental.

“Let’s not use any sort of religious judgment, then?”

If Katy were going around claiming to be a Christian- well then we could judge her. Sorry. Strike that. Then we could try to restore her.

But she isn’t making such a claim.

That being the case,we should pray for her.

The people Jesus dealt with harshly were the people who considered themselves religious. “Thank God I’m not like those women, former Christian singers”

Religious judgment is reserved for people who claim Christ, not for those who reject him

I’m curious about the Sandi Patty reference. What did she do?

Sandi Patty had an adulterous affair with someone in her band or crew, became pregnant. If I remember correctly, Gary Chapman had a drug problem at the very least, he and Amy went through a great deal of counseling. I lost track by the time Vince Gill came into the picture.
