Appearing as a guest on Friday’s Countdown show on MSNBC, during a discussion of conservative talker Glenn Beck’s "Restoring Honor" rally, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson dismissed Dr. Alveda King – niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and former Georgia state representative – as a "figurehead or puppet" of Beck because of her scheduled participation in the rally.
That’s right, she’s not as authentic as Al SharpTongue or Snoop Dog.
Evidently Eugene doesn’t know Dr. King very well. She is a very nice woman with a fine intellect and she is nobody’s token anything. Her finest feature is her willingness to take on the left on the issue of abortion and the black family. Eugene, of course, is a Great Society guy who revels in the destruction of same by out of wedlock births and an abortion rate that would make Satan blush.
Like Glenn says, just sit back and watch ... they are going to burn in their own fire. No need to call them names ... the people “see” now. It used to be a statement like this would have some strange credibility ... no longer. Just sit back and watch, the fire of truth is consuming them. I saw him say that this morning ... I pushed the remote button. Zap, the fire got him ... and along with him all the rest of them on that show and that channel. This is why the media is dying ... sit back and enjoy.

Um, Alveda is not anyone’s puppet. She belongs to Christ. And she knows it, so the idiots making these assertions are merely foolish in her eyes ... I can guarantee you of that. Frankly, these idiot assertions warm my heart because she is a fellow Christian, a sister in Christ to this aging Whitebread writer. My but our God is Great, making for Himself a family of astonishing diversity!
Lock him in the basement just to be sure...

He wasn't on the set of Glenn Beck and Ted Nugent didn't give him a hug like he did Alveda...
Either that or he is a vegetarian and just grumpy... :-)....
