Obama’s operatives have very effectively—early on—seized the playing field on this one. They splintered our ranks and chagrined people with the ‘birther’ label even though they have never provided an answer.
We were fools to let them gain the field on this—we should have hung together-—ferreted out the moles in our ranks that kept saying, ‘uh oh, better stay away from THAT...don’t wanna lose cred and be called a (drum roll) BIRTHER” .

In this particular case, I don't see anything to be gained. In fact, I expect it will actually be counter-productive, because it will either bring out some apathetic Democrats that wouldn't have bothered to vote on Election Day. Or, it will cause some independent voters to question if they really should vote Republican.
Yes, Phil Berg is a Hillary Democrat. But, that won't be mentioned in the news coverage. What you can expect is that protesters will be outnumbered by reporters and cameramen, who will be jostling to find the looniest people and capture the most outrageous quotes.
