This was a rally to get both Maurice "Karl Rove planted the Rathergate memos" Hinchey and George Phillips (conservative who hopes to oppose him in this year's election) to participate in a Q&A.
Just as expected, George showed up and Hinchey did not.
the local media reports were pretty bad. two out of three local tv news outlets couldn't be bothered to report.

Get used to it, we in Indiana have been battling the (mostly) negative (or non-existent) coverage of our Tea Party related activity for a couple years..
so you can’t expect them to be on your side..though they might eventually wise-up and at least give your face time, even friendly coverage sometimes, just give it time, and working those media relationships (BTW: the media is never your “friend”)!

The Tea Party event that I attended had plenty of media who were there to check out confrontational opposition groups. As soon as the opposition groups left, so did the media. . . : )
