The superdollar is back folks! Another hit on the US financial crisis. Yesterday I wrote a piece in the epidemic of credit card fraud. Now we are getting hit with "superdollars". Flooding the market! If you don't recall the "superdollar" is a fake US 100 dollar bill manufactured in North Korea and elsewhere.
Aparently the quality is so good that they are making there way INTO ATM machines!

I love how freepers like to protect the side bar. If I think a story deserves breaking status I post and leave up to others to police. This is a serious issue and we all need to be aware of things that have serious impact on our economy

I have yet to encounter an ATM machine that dispenses anything larger than a $20.

I understand. Just wanted to point out that such machines do exist. Most predominently in casinos. Lol. Hmmmmmmm

Just as an FYI. There are also “bill breaker” machines that let you insert a 100 dollar bill and it gives you 5 20s. You can then put a 20 in and break it down. Etc. Etc

I thought the breaking story was that the Big Zero was on vacation for the nth time this year already.

The new anti counterfeiting US $100 bill designs are circulated by the Norks in Việt Nam before the banks in the US have the Us Treasury versions. Apparently equipment that can detect them is only possessed by the US Treasury. I believe it is up there with nuclear stuff as North Korea's most lucrative export. It may be nr. 1.

What percentage of retail transactions over $100 are for cash? Other than for street drug purchases?
I've never received a $100 bill from an ATM, and tend to use plastic for purchases over $20. I don't think I've been inside a casino for the last 20 years.

I don’t have that data. I just wanted to point out that such machines are out there. Also with bill breaker machines its a very easy and fast way to dump the fake 100s with no transaction fee. Lol

Guys with 3/4 ton trucks and folks with motor homes often pay for their gas hereabouts with 100s.The card-enabled pumps all have $75 dollar limits.

Now for the truth. Middle Eastern criminals based in Belize (Central America) are washing out U.S. lower demonination bills (1s and 5s) and are printing 100s, 50s and even 20s on them and then slipping them up into the United States. So, look for the watermark bust and the denomination value line on the other side on larger bills before accepting them. I am really sick of disinformation from ANY source...individual or government.

Whats the difference between North Korea printing phony money or Obama doing it?
The results are the same here IMHO. Stop them both :).
