The death of a soldier from Nassau, New York tipped a tragic scale in American History. More soldiers have now died in the Afghan war under President Obama than died under President Bush. As the total Obama military death count (all locations) nears 800, the death tolls in the Afghan war are on the rise.

...Army Staff Sgt. Derek J. Farley, 24, of Nassau, N.Y., died Aug. 17 at Bala Boluk, Farah, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated as he attempted to disarm it. His death was the 576th in Afghanistan under the first two years of President Obama's Command.* There were 575 deaths in Afghanistan during the two terms of President Bush. Farley was assigned to the 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 16th Sustainment Brigade, 21st Theater Sustainment Command, Grafenwoehr, Germany.

*According to the Huffington Post's math, Farley's Death means more soldiers now have died in the Afghan war under President Obama than under President Bush. The total Obama Death Count stands at 796 as of this writing...

The Pentagon, DIA, intelligence (CIA) and govt are filled with the Imam’s puppets which includes Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood followers.

They are probably leaking intel back to the taliban and al queada. IT is to humor the Saudi King and Islam plus the Victory Mosque.

Keep watching TV and paying those sat tv and cable bills because TV supports the Imam 100%. Our poor troops. Idiots brainwashed by TV have let them down.

Afghanistan is historical proof that a nation with a weak central government cannot be pacified/conquered. There might be a lesson there.

They aren't deaths in two different wars under two different presidents. They are deaths in the same war that began in the late 70s. All our presidents since then have had to send troops to fight it. We are at war with about 80 million Islamics in various muslim nations who wish to force the citizens of the US to submit to Islam.

Rather than counting up how many died under Bush and how many died under 0 and how many will die under the next POTUS, it would be better to count up how many of those 80 million we have dissuaded from their quest of Islamicizing the US through force.

President Bush tasked the military with disrupting al qaeda camps. This maoist is working on nation building.

After all, he’s determined to remove the corrupt leadership in Kabul and replace it with corrupt people of his choosing.

On the drive to the office this morning, I was listening to a station that uses CBS News. I heard Katie Couric claim that troops captured the deputy commander of al-Qaeda troops in Afghanistan. Wasn’t she claiming to years ago that there were no al-Qaeda troops in Afghanistan, that they all left as soon as our troops arrived?

I have a question about these young men who die “disarming” an IED. If they know where the thing is, why don’t they just explode them from a distance? Couldn’t they toss something heavy on them from a distance, or drop a bomb on them? It seems foolish to put a man’s life at risk trying to disarm them.
