I don’t think so. There are 3 men who, regardless of their personal political beliefs, are absolutely worth listening to when it comes to election analysis. Charlie Cook, Michael Barone and Stuart Rothenberg. Ignore them and you are ignoring great insight.

I’m not ignoring. I’ll take any and all good as it comes from any reliable source. I just know that Cook is a lib and any news from any lib makes me take pause.

Charlie comes from a rock solid conservative family, but he swims with the liberal fishes which makes for interesting conversations at family gatherings. Inside the Beltway disease more than anything else.

But, on elections, his business model requires that he call it straight. That’s what he does and that’s why everyone in that silly little town up there on the Potomac listens to him. He gets a steady dose of FR thinking to help keep him somewhat calibrated.
